Overview

Influential is seeking a highly experienced SVP, Creator Strategy & Partnerships to lead the company’s Creator Strategy & Partnerships team and oversee talent strategy, sourcing, recommendations, talent agency relationships and partnerships across client engagements.

This role serves as the senior leader responsible for how Influential identifies, evaluates, recommends, and secures talent on behalf of its clients. Leading a team of approximately 13 talent and creator partnership professionals, the SVP will establish the strategy, processes, and standards that guide talent selection across the organization — from early-stage new business opportunities through post-sale creator identification.

The SVP will play a critical role in new business, partnering with sales, strategy, and client leadership teams to develop strategic talent approaches and proxy lists during the pre-sale process and leading high-stakes client presentations that demonstrate Influential’s expertise, methodology, and differentiated approach to talent.

This leader will also serve as Influential’s senior expert for high-profile and celebrity talent opportunities, leading complex negotiations and advising clients and internal stakeholders on talent valuation, deal structure, usage, exclusivity, and partnership strategy.

Beyond campaign execution, the SVP will be responsible for identifying proactive, talent-led opportunities that deepen client relationships and generate incremental revenue. The role will maintain and grow Influential’s relationships across the talent representation ecosystem, ensuring the company has strong connectivity with leading agencies, managers, representatives, and emerging talent partners. 

Responsibilities

● Lead and manage Influential’s Creator Strategy & Partnerships team of approximately 13 professionals, establishing clear priorities, responsibilities, processes, and performance expectations across the function.

● Own the company’s overall approach to talent sourcing, strategy, recommendations, and partnerships across both pre-sale and post-sale client engagements. 

● Oversee the development of strategic proxy lists and talent recommendations during the pre-sale process, ensuring proposed talent is aligned with client objectives, audience strategy, cultural relevance, budget, and campaign goals.

● Serve as the senior talent lead in high-stakes new business pitches and client presentations, articulating Influential’s talent methodology, marketplace expertise, sourcing capabilities, and strategic point of view to help win and grow business.

● Lead the post-sale talent recommendation function, overseeing the team responsible for developing, refining, and presenting creator recommendations to clients.

● Partner closely with strategy, sales, account, creative, media, and campaign teams to ensure talent strategy is integrated throughout the full client lifecycle.

● Serve as the senior point of escalation for high-profile, celebrity, and complex talent opportunities, leading negotiations and advising on pricing, valuation, usage, exclusivity, deliverables, and deal structure.

● Provide senior commercial leadership on talent pricing and negotiation strategy, ensuring partnerships balance client objectives, talent market dynamics, and company economics.

● Build and maintain strong relationships across the talent representation ecosystem, including leading talent agencies, management companies, agents, managers, and other strategic partners.

● Oversee Influential’s broader talent agency partner strategy, ensuring strong relationships, preferred access, efficient communication, and consistent ways of working across external representation partners.

● Develop proactive, talent-led ideas and partnership opportunities that can be brought to existing and prospective clients to generate incremental revenue and deepen client relationships.

● Identify emerging creators, cultural voices, talent trends, and partnership models that can create new opportunities for Influential and its clients.

● Establish scalable processes, tools, and governance frameworks that enable the talent function to operate efficiently across a high volume of client programs while maintaining strategic quality.

● Develop and mentor talent across the Creator Strategy & Partnerships organization, creating clear standards for strategic thinking, client leadership, negotiation, relationship management, and execution.

● Act as a senior internal authority on the creator and talent marketplace, providing leadership with perspective on market dynamics, talent costs, representation trends, emerging opportunities, and evolving client needs. 

Qualifications

● 10+ years of experience across creator marketing, talent partnerships, talent representation, influencer marketing, entertainment, media, or related fields.

● Significant experience leading and developing high-performing teams, with the ability to manage a function of approximately 13 professionals across multiple levels and responsibilities.

● Deep expertise in creator and talent strategy, including talent identification, sourcing, evaluation, recommendations, negotiations, and partnership development.

● Demonstrated success leading high-stakes client presentations and new business pitches, with the ability to translate complex talent capabilities into a compelling and differentiated client proposition.

● Extensive experience negotiating complex, high-value talent and celebrity partnerships.

● Deep, established relationships across the talent representation community, including agencies, management firms, agents, and managers.

● Strong commercial acumen with the ability to assess talent valuation, partnership economics, negotiation strategy, and revenue opportunities.

● Proven ability to develop proactive ideas and opportunities that translate talent and cultural insights into incremental client revenue.

● Strong understanding of the creator ecosystem, social platforms, audience dynamics, cultural trends, content formats, usage rights, exclusivity, and evolving talent economics.

● Confident senior leader who can influence executive-level clients, internal stakeholders, and external partners in high-pressure environments.

● Exceptional operational discipline with the ability to oversee multiple teams, clients, pitches, negotiations, and workstreams simultaneously.

● A collaborative leadership style with the ability to work effectively across sales, strategy, creative, media, account management, legal, and campaign execution teams.

Compensation Range: USD $180,000.00 - USD $220,000.00/NA. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. This role may also be eligible for bonus or incentive compensation. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
