KYB Americas Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior Strategic Sales Account Manager to join our Sales team. This position is responsible for developing and strengthening long-term customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving profitable growth within assigned strategic accounts.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, strategic sales professional who can build trusted relationships, understand customer needs, negotiate effectively, and collaborate across departments to deliver results.
What You’ll Do
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned strategic customer accounts.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customer contacts and decision-makers.
Identify and develop new sales and growth opportunities within assigned accounts.
Develop and execute strategic customer account plans aligned with company objectives.
Collaborate with Sales Leadership to establish sales goals and strategies for assigned customers.
Develop pursuit strategies for new business opportunities and support the RFQ process.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and commercial conditions with customers.
Monitor account profitability and develop action plans to improve performance when needed.
Forecast and track key account metrics, sales activity, and opportunities.
Listen to the Voice of the Customer and communicate customer needs throughout KYB.
Coordinate internal resources across Sales, Manufacturing, Production Control, Engineering, and other departments to meet customer expectations.
Work closely with the Sales Account Administrator on customer satisfaction, problem resolution, RFQs, APRs, and other customer-driven activities.
Support Sales Department improvement initiatives, reporting, surveys, and information gathering.
Assist with customer compliance requests, account information, and collection of past-due accounts as needed.
Travel domestically and internationally to support customers and business needs.
Perform other duties as assigned by Sales Leadership.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of 7 years of related sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; industry experience preferred.
Proven ability to develop and manage strategic customer relationships.
Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels, including executive leadership.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales performance and market trends.
Understanding of standard business and financial fundamentals.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Highly self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
