What You'll Do

Review vendor invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper approval.
Process accounts payable transactions and ensure vendors are paid accurately and on time.
Reconcile vendor accounts and proactively resolve invoice and payment discrepancies.
Monitor accounting system transactions to maintain accurate and complete financial records.
Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, including aging reports, daily cash reporting, and reconciliations.
Participate in month-end close activities, including preparing accounts payable-related journal entries.
Assist the Controller and Finance Director with internal and external audits related to purchasing and accounts payable.
Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, accounting standards, and applicable regulations.
Support other accounting functions as needed, including customer billing, accounts receivable postings, collections, expense reports, deposits, and internal financial communications.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and increase efficiency.
Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years of accounting experience required.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
Experience with accounts payable and general accounting responsibilities.
Proficiency with accounting software and financial systems.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills are a plus.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and consistently meet deadlines.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
