The Opportunity

Kargo is looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer to own the technical success of publishers integrating and scaling our in-app SDK. You'll be the technical face of Kargo to app developers and publishers—the person who gets the SDK integrated cleanly, keeps impressions growing, and clears every engineering roadblock between a signed partner and live, revenue-generating ad traffic. This is a hands-on, publisher-facing role at the intersection of engineering, product, and revenue.

The Daily To-Do

• Onboard and take live strategic publishers, moving each from signed to first impression to full-scale rollout ahead of target integration timelines
• Own flagship publisher integrations end to end, from technical scoping through production launch and post-launch monetization tuning
• Diagnose and resolve the top roadblocks capping in-app impression growth—mediation/bidding misconfiguration, low fill, latency, rendering failures—to drive measurable lifts in live impressions and fill
• Architect placement, format, and bidding strategies that raise eCPM/ARPDAU and sustain performance as publisher traffic scales without degradation
• Establish integration patterns, sample apps, and QA checklists that become team standards and raise the bar for how cleanly publishers go live
• Partner with Sales, Account Management, Product, and Engineering to translate publisher needs into technical solutions
• Feed integration friction back into the SDK roadmap so recurring problems get solved at the source

Qualifications

• Expert-level proficiency in a production language such as Python, Java, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript, with a strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices, and designing scalable, distributed systems that handle high-volume traffic
• Understanding of database design and optimization across SQL and NoSQL, plus cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring/observability tooling, with the ability to debug production issues and optimize system performance
• Strong ownership and technical judgment—you see projects through, make pragmatic engineering decisions, and address technical debt strategically
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and share knowledge generously
• Resilience and a bias for action, staying effective under pressure and breaking large problems into incremental, shippable deliverables

In accordance with applicable federal, state, and local pay transparency laws, the anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for variable compensation — either the Kargo Sales Incentive Plan (sales roles) or an annual discretionary bonus (all other roles). Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, education, and skills.

U.S Salary Range $200,000—$220,000 USD
