Our team is responsible for developing and maintaining Akamai's cloud storage platform. Our enterprise-grade solution is an essential element of Akamai's Connected Cloud platform. We provide a scalable and secure storage solution for our customers to build their businesses.

Work across frontend and backend technologies, contribute to technical direction within your area of expertise, and collaborate with experienced engineers to build reliable, maintainable, and high-quality software.

As a Software Engineer Senior, you will be responsible for:

• Designing and implementing frontend applications and supporting API services for cloud management solutions
• Integrating applications with platform services and downstream systems across Akamai's cloud ecosystem
• Troubleshooting complex technical challenges and driving improvements to application quality, maintainability, and performance

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Demonstrate strong professional experience developing backend services using Python
• Possess experience building modern web applications using JavaScript or TypeScript and frontend frameworks such as React
• Have good knowledge of Internet protocols such as HTTP, DNS, and TLS/SSL
• Have willingness to learn new frameworks and programming languages
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
