Senior SAP BW/HANA & S/4HANA Developer

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP Developer with strong hands-on development expertise in SAP BW, SAP HANA Studio, and S/4HANA. This role requires a seasoned technical professional who can independently design, develop, and optimize SAP solutions while collaborating closely with established technical leads and business stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have deep technical development experience complemented by functional knowledge of SAP APO (GATP), AATP, MM, and SD modules. This is not a leadership or management position; rather, we are looking for a senior individual contributor who can serve as a technical expert and drive complex development activities under the guidance of the respective technical leads.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and support SAP BW, HANA, and S/4HANA solutions.
• Build and optimize data models, ETL processes, CDS Views, calculation views, and reporting solutions.
• Develop and maintain BW data flows, transformations, DTPs, InfoProviders, ADSOs, Composite Providers, and Queries.
• Create and optimize SAP HANA artifacts using HANA Studio, including calculation views, procedures, and performance tuning.
• Develop and support S/4HANA-based solutions leveraging modern SAP development frameworks and best practices.
• Collaborate with technical leads to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Analyze and resolve complex production issues, including root cause analysis and performance optimization.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams supporting Supply Chain, Order Fulfillment, Materials Management, and Sales processes.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
• Ensure adherence to SAP development standards, documentation, and governance practices.

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

• 8+ years of SAP development experience with a strong focus on: 
  • SAP BW/BW on HANA
  • SAP HANA Studio
  • SAP S/4HANA
• Proven hands-on development experience with: 
  • BW Modeling and Data Warehousing
  • Transformations, DTPs, Process Chains
  • ADSOs, Composite Providers, Open ODS Views
  • HANA Calculation Views
  • SQLScript, Stored Procedures, Performance Tuning
  • CDS Views and S/4HANA Data Models
• Strong experience troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing SAP applications and data flows.
• Experience integrating SAP modules and enterprise applications.

Functional Knowledge

Working knowledge of the following areas is required:

• SAP APO with emphasis on GATP
• SAP S/4HANA AATP
• SAP MM (Materials Management)
• SAP SD (Sales and Distribution)

The candidate is not expected to function as a functional lead but should possess sufficient business process understanding to effectively support development and solution design.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP supply chain and order fulfillment processes.
• Experience supporting large-scale SAP transformation or migration initiatives.
• Knowledge of SAP integration technologies and analytics platforms.
• SAP certifications in BW, HANA, or S/4HANA are a plus.
