Senior Program Manager, Windows Commercial Acceleration Engine Operations

Overview

Microsoft’s Windows Commercial Acceleration Engine connects three integrated motions: identifying where intervention matters most, proving value through hands-on customer and engineering engagements, and scaling successful outcomes through reusable solutions, Microsoft programs, and the partner ecosystem. 

We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead the Acceleration Engine’s program management function and operating model. This leader must combine program leadership with hands-on technical depth, designing and building multi-agent systems that can coordinate work at organizational scale—not merely adopting AI tools, but engineering an AI-enabled operating model. 

The successful candidate will act as the single operating integrator for the Acceleration Engine, translating strategy into an executable portfolio, ensuring that the organization operates as one system, and creating the mechanisms through which customer engagements become repeatable business and product impact.

Responsibilities
 

Lead the Acceleration Engine Program Management Function 

• Lead the program management discipline across the Acceleration Engine in deep collaboration with the Accelerate LT; drive decisions, resolve ambiguity, and accelerate cross-organizational results. 

• Translate organizational strategy into an integrated execution portfolio with clear owners, milestones, dependencies, risks, and measurable outcomes. 

• Create and operate the necessary structures, processes, and workflows and supporting agentic infrastructure across the Acceleration Engine organization to enable seamless execution from insights to impact to scale. 

Support the Acceleration Engine Operating Model 

• Manage execution of the roadmap for agent infrastructure, AI capabilities, evaluation frameworks, dashboards, data standards, and automation in partnership with insights, engineering, security, and AI leadership. 

• Drive progress toward one trusted operational view across customer intake, engagements, engineering work, partners, and scale programs. 

• Coordinates to ensure insights are captured by the Impact Engine and routed to product teams. 

• Design, build, and continuously improve a scalable multi-agent architecture in which specialized agents coordinate planning, research, workflow execution, knowledge reuse, and decision support across the Acceleration Engine. 

Engineer the Acceleration Engine’s Agentic Workforce 

• Establish the architecture, evaluation, observability, security, human-oversight, and lifecycle-management standards required to operate a large and evolving population of agents reliably in an enterprise environment. 

Orchestrate Strategic Partnerships 

• Build the operating framework connecting the Acceleration Engine with sales, product engineering, FastTrack, and customer experience teams. 

• Define mutual commitments, decision rights, operating cadences, handoffs, and success measures for critical partnerships. 

• Maintain visibility into where partnerships are producing results, where they are stalled, and where executive intervention is required. 

• Flag issues to leadership  regarding duplicated work, unclear ownership, competing priorities, and gaps between organizational motions. 

Lead Special Projects and Executive Priorities 

• Lead complex, cross-cutting initiatives that are strategically important but do not yet have a natural organizational owner. 

• Turn ambiguous priorities into a clear fact base, recommended direction, execution plan, governance model, and accountable ownership. 

• Determine when emerging initiatives should be scaled, transitioned into stable ownership, redesigned, or stopped. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications 

• Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

 Preferred Qualifications 

• Demonstrated experience spanning technical program management, customer engineering, enterprise products, partner ecosystems, and field or product operations.
• Proficient understanding of the enterprise customer lifecycle, technical engagement models, product-feedback systems, and scaled delivery motions.
• Experience with Windows, endpoint management, security, enterprise deployment, device ecosystems, or related commercial technology motions.
• Experience developing AI-enabled workflows, operational automation, portfolio dashboards, or agentic business systems.
• Demonstrated success balancing urgent customer needs with long-term system building and organizational scale.
• Demonstrated hands-on AI engineering experience designing, building, evaluating, and operating production-grade agentic systems, including orchestration across many specialized agents, tools, data sources, and human decision points
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional programs and building durable relationships involving engineering, product, field, sales, customer success, and partner organizations.
• Experience building operating models, governance mechanisms, portfolio-management systems, and executive operating rhythms during a period of rapid change.
• Experience managing a program-management function through influence.
• Experience working with leadersip and presenting concise, decision-ready recommendations.
• Analytical capabilities with the ability to combine qualitative signals, operational data, customer evidence, and business context. 

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
