Your work will directly influence Lexia’s growth trajectory by:

  • Shaping market strategy, including TAM assessment, segmentation, and targeting, using advanced systematic frameworks and external market factors to influence long-range planning

  • Driving expansion plays that impact multiple stakeholder groups and revenue horizons

  • Enabling sales with the tools they need to win, while setting standards and best practices adopted across teams

  • Partnering with cross-functional teams, including the Strategic Marketing Program team, Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Research, building formal networks with senior administrators and key decision-makers to ensure that Lexia continues to deliver value to existing districts and schools while accelerating adoption of additional solutions in alignment with evolving organizational strategy.

This role is ideal for a marketer who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution, influences direction at the functional and organizational levels, and has a passion for using insights and competitive intelligence to win in the market.

You'll enjoy this role if you:

  • Are energized by creating and executing growth strategies that expand market share and shape long-term business outcomes.

  • Excel at identifying opportunities within existing customer accounts and turning them into wins through autonomous judgment and complex problem-solving.

  • Thrive on leveraging TAM analysis, segmentation, and market insights to make strategic decisions that balance near-term results with long-term impact.

  • Are motivated by developing comparative displacement strategies that drive measurable results and inform executive-level decision making.

  • Enjoy collaborating across marketing, sales, and product teams to drive shared success across all organizational levels..

  • Can balance strategic thinking with the tactical execution needed to hit goals while adapting quickly to shifting priorities or market conditions.

Job Responsibilities: (Day-to-Day)

  • Promoting the go-to-market strategies that focus on expansion, cross-sell, upsell, and competitive displacement, serving as a subject-matter expert and strategic advisor.

  • Partnering with Strategic Marketing Program teams, Sales, and Customer Success to design and execute account growth campaigns that maximize penetration in priority accounts, influencing direction without direct authority.

  • Leading TAM and segmentation analysis for GTM initiatives to identify untapped opportunities and shape targeting strategies, requiring in-depth evaluation of complex and variable data.

  • Developing differentiated product positioning and messaging that highlight Lexia’s value in comparative scenarios with executive presence and confidence.

  • Building sales enablement assets (playbooks, battlecards, messaging frameworks, presentations) that arm teams for growth and competitive wins and calculate standards for scalable execution.

  • Gathering and synthesizing market, customer, and competitor insights to inform strategic decisions and tactical plays with consideration of broader external and organizational factors.

  • Tracking and reporting KPIs that measure impact on bookings, account expansion, and competitive win rates, translating insights into recommendations for senior management.

  • Leading training sessions and enablement workshops to align internal teams around account growth and competitive strategy across diverse audiences and job levels.

  • Collaborating with product and research teams to ensure marketing strategy reflects evolving customer needs and market dynamics and proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field, advanced degree preferred.

  • 7–10 years of product marketing or go-to-market experience (K12 edtech preferred, but not required) with demonstrated progressive responsibility and leadership.

  • Proven success in driving expansion, cross-sell/upsell, and competitive displacement strategies impacting multiple functions and long-term plans.

  • Exceptional understanding of TAM analysis, account segmentation, and market penetration strategies applied in complex, ambiguous environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop compelling product positioning that resonates with decision-makers and practitioners, including senior and executive audiences.

  • Experience working closely with Sales and Customer Success to execute joint growth initiatives, requiring influence, negotiation, and alignment.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence across teams and stakeholders and command attention during challenging discussions.

  • Excellent deductive skills with experience tracking growth KPIs and turning insights into action unsupervised and with limited oversight.

  • Pragmatic Marketing Certification or equivalent certification preferred but not required

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Teams, and familiarity with project management or sales enablement tools used to drive efficiency and scale across functions.

About the company

Cambium Learning Group

Lexia believes that strong literacy foundations have impact far beyond the classroom—that they are essential to our ability to communicate, express ourselves, and engage with the world around us.

We believe everyone has a right to literacy, and that as educators, we have an obligation to deliver. We believe every student deserves to be taught literacy in a way that works for them, no matter who they are, where they live, what level they are at, and what learning challenges they face. We believe every teacher deserves the support they need to teach literacy confidently and effectively.

We know that literacy is fully within reach for the vast majority of learners (both students and teachers) when instruction is based on the science of reading—with sound methodology; with engaging experiences supported by innovative, committed experts; and with a focus on the value of each individual learner.

We’re Lexia. We’re all for literacy because literacy can and should be for all.
