Senior Product Manager, AI/ML

Overview:
Senior Product Manager is responsible for managing key partner and platform integration products within the business unit product portfolio. This role is responsible for managing inputs from external and internal stakeholders, product planning, managing platform dependencies, leading cross functional teams for release and go-to-market plans and activities, enhancing and differentiating product within our core markets to best position the products within our markets and the competitive landscape. Interfaces with engineering, operations and sales to develop new products and enhance existing products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Define and drive the product strategy and roadmap for AI/ML-powered features, partnering with AI/ML Engineering & Data Science and to translate business problems into AI/ML use cases (e.g., predictive models, NLP, GenAI/LLM-based capabilities).

• Own the AI product lifecycle — problem framing, model evaluation criteria, data requirements, responsible AI/bias review, and go-to-market — in collaboration with Data Science, Engineering, and Legal/Compliance.

• Define success metrics and KPIs for AI/ML features (accuracy, precision/recall, latency, adoption, business ROI) and monitor post-launch model performance in partnership with Data Science.

• Champion responsible AI practices — data privacy, explainability, bias mitigation, and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA) — in product design.

• Develop business cases to justify investment required to build, partner or buy.

• Be the trusted thought leader for your product area; being the ‘voice of the market/customer’ within Inovalon and externally with customer interactions and events.

• Build and maintain roadmap for products and work with cross-functional teams to deliver a unified product plan to the market.

• Work with Marketing and Sales to define the go-to-market strategy, product positioning, and pricing strategies.

• Develop, drive and coordinate complex product priorities in a fast-paced environment with intra-team and inter-team dependencies.

• Develop and implement a company-wide commercialization and launch plan for the products within the product line, working with all departments and the Product PMO to execute.

• Translate product strategy into requirements and prototypes, and then work with architects, developers and customers to implement these features.

• Serve as a product evangelist with Marketing, Sales, and the go-to-market organization to confirm the vision, roadmap and best practices are understood.

• Analyze and manage to product metrics/KPI’s that inform the success of your products in the market.

• Maintain compliance with lnovalon's policies, procedures and mission statement.

• Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within lnovalon's Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position.

• Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by lnovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (B.A./B.S.) in relevant field required

Experience:

• 5+ Years of Software Product Management experience managing platform or integration products required

• 5+ Years of healthcare information technology experience with a focus on partner integration products required

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Agile development methodologies required

Skills and Abilities:

• Experience managing AI/ML or data-driven products, with working knowledge of the AI/ML lifecycle (data collection, model training, validation, deployment, monitoring etc).

• Familiarity with GenAI/LLM technologies and their application to enterprise/healthcare products preferred.
  Ability to collaborate effectively with Data Science/ML Engineering teams and translate technical AI concepts for business and executive audiences.

• Experience with Pragmatic Marketing or Certified in Pragmatic Marketing.

• Proven to perform strategically and execute operationally.

• Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams from product concept to reference customers.

• Proven track record of creating and launching new products.

• SaaS or cloud software experience.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint.

• Self-motivated with strong organizational/prioritization skills and ability to multi-task with close attention to detail.

• Excellent written and oral presentation skills.

• Ability to work in a fast- paced environment.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

• This is a primarily sedentary role. The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear for extended periods of time, and also required to repetitively use manual labor to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment.

Travel Expectations:
Travel for this position will include less than 10% locally usually for training purposes.
