Senior Process Improvement Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Process Improvement Specialist based in United States.

This role leads enterprise-wide process improvement and automation initiatives designed to strengthen financial and operational performance across the project lifecycle.
You will identify opportunities to simplify workflows, reduce manual effort, improve data quality, and increase operational scalability.
Working across business, finance, operations, and technology teams, you will help redesign processes and establish sustainable standards and best practices.
The position also plays a key role in integrating engineering projects following acquisitions and supporting ERP and technology enhancements.
You will facilitate cross-functional workshops, lead change initiatives, and help stakeholders adopt improved processes, systems, and ways of working.
Success in this role requires a strategic mindset combined with strong project management, analytical, communication, and stakeholder-influence skills.
This is a full-time remote position with core business hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Accountabilities:

• Lead enterprise-wide process improvement initiatives focused on improving the efficiency, consistency, and effectiveness of project financial operations from setup through closeout.
• Identify, prioritize, and implement automation opportunities that reduce manual work, improve data accuracy, and support operational scalability.
• Partner with business, finance, operations, and technology stakeholders to assess current processes and develop sustainable improvements.
• Drive operational excellence through process redesign, workflow optimization, standardization, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Lead high-impact initiatives designed to increase productivity, reduce cycle times, strengthen internal controls, and improve the customer experience.
• Establish and maintain standardized processes, policies, controls, and best practices covering project setup, maintenance, invoicing, revenue recognition, contract management, and project closeout.
• Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize improvement initiatives in line with strategic business and operational objectives.
• Lead organizational change initiatives, including change management, communications, training, and adoption strategies for new processes and technologies.
• Support ERP enhancements, system optimization, and technology initiatives by aligning business processes with current capabilities and future organizational needs.
• Facilitate cross-functional workshops and process-mapping sessions to identify root causes, eliminate inefficiencies, and improve end-to-end workflows.
• Develop governance frameworks, documentation, and process controls that promote consistency, compliance, and long-term sustainability.
• Support the integration of engineering client projects and operational processes following acquisitions.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement through collaboration, accountability, innovation, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of relevant professional experience, preferably with knowledge of engineering industry practices and trends.
• Experience in project management, change management, process improvement, or a related discipline within an engineering or technical environment.
• Proven track record of leading complex cross-functional initiatives from planning through implementation.
• Strong project management capabilities, including experience developing and managing complex integration plans.
• Proficiency in recognized process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
• Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, communicate, and implement meaningful process improvements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex workflows and identify root causes.
• Advanced prioritization and workload-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Strong change management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively across business, finance, operations, and technology functions in a collaborative environment.
