About the Opportunity

As a Senior Platform Solutions Consultant, you’ll serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers as they implement and transition to Ellucian SaaS solutions. Drawing on your software development, integration, and technical implementation experience, you’ll help customers design and execute solutions across APIs, integrations, data flows, and custom technical requirements.

This is an opportunity to apply your hands-on technical expertise in a highly consultative, customer-facing role. Rather than serving primarily as a developer, you’ll use your technical background to understand complex customer environments, recommend solutions, lead technical conversations, and translate challenges into actionable delivery plans.

You’ll work at the intersection of technology, solution design, customer consulting, and implementation delivery, partnering with both customer and Ellucian teams to identify dependencies and risks, drive technical decisions, and keep implementations moving toward successful go-live.

Prior Ellucian or Banner experience is NOT required. We’re looking for experienced technical professionals who bring strong SaaS, cloud, software development, API, and integration expertise and are excited to apply that experience within the higher education technology space.

Where You Will Make an Impact

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout customer SaaS implementations, helping customers understand technical options, make informed decisions, and successfully navigate their transition to Ellucian SaaS.
• Guide technical solution design across APIs, integrations, data flows, and custom solutions, ensuring customer requirements are translated into practical, scalable approaches within the Ellucian SaaS environment.
• Lead technical discovery and conversations with customer and Ellucian teams to understand existing environments, requirements, constraints, dependencies, and desired outcomes.
• Translate complex technical challenges into actionable plans, helping customers understand priorities, dependencies, risks, decisions, and actions required to move implementation work forward.
• Drive technical delivery and implementation readiness by tracking progress against technical plans, identifying potential delays or roadblocks, and coordinating the right resources to keep projects moving toward key milestones and go-live.
• Influence decisions and create alignment across technical and business stakeholders, communicating complex technical concepts in a way that enables informed decision-making.
• Identify and resolve technical risks and roadblocks, bringing together customer teams, developers, implementation resources, and internal Ellucian experts to develop practical solutions.
• Help customers maximize their investment in Ellucian solutions by connecting their technical requirements and business objectives to available platform capabilities, tools, and solutions.

What You Will Bring

• Significant software development and technical implementation experience, ideally 5+ years, with hands-on experience designing, developing, integrating, or implementing modern software solutions.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of APIs, system integrations, data flows, and modern application development, with the technical depth to understand complex customer environments and recommend practical solutions.
• Experience working with SaaS and/or cloud-based solutions, including an understanding of modern integration patterns, technical architecture, and implementation and delivery principles.
• Experience participating in or leading complex software implementations, SaaS migrations, platform implementations, or other customer technology initiatives involving multiple systems, dependencies, and stakeholders.
• The ability to move between technical depth and consultative leadership — understanding the technology while also helping customers evaluate options, make decisions, and move work forward.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex environments, navigate ambiguity, identify risks and dependencies, and develop actionable solutions.
• Strong customer-facing communication and consulting skills, with the ability to lead technical conversations, explain complex concepts clearly, navigate challenging discussions, and influence both technical and business stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders to resolve issues, maintain alignment, and drive successful implementation outcomes.
• A customer-first mindset with the interpersonal skills to build credibility and trusted relationships with customers and internal partners.

Preferred (Bonus to have)

• Experience with JavaScript and/or React or similar modern development technologies.
• Experience working in enterprise SaaS, ERP, higher education technology, or another complex enterprise software environment.
• Experience consulting with customers through cloud or SaaS transformation and migration initiatives.
• Familiarity with higher education technology, student information systems, ERP platforms, or Ellucian solutions.
