Senior Performance Marketing Strategist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Performance Marketing Strategist based in United States.

This is a senior, hands-on performance marketing role focused on driving measurable growth through paid media and full-funnel optimization.
You will own a portfolio of client accounts, serving as the primary strategic partner while being directly accountable for performance and retention.
The role combines Meta advertising, direct-response copywriting, creative strategy, client communication, and funnel execution.
You will use performance data to identify growth opportunities, diagnose issues, and develop structured testing strategies across audiences, offers, messaging, and creative.
Working across media buying and marketing technology, you will also oversee tracking, conversion events, integrations, and lead-routing workflows.
The position is ideal for an experienced marketer who enjoys taking ownership and making decisions across multiple areas of the customer acquisition funnel.
Success requires strong analytical judgment, communication, organization, and a consistent performance-first mindset.

Accountabilities:

• Own a portfolio of client accounts and serve as the primary strategic point of contact.
• Lead bi-weekly client calls covering performance, strategy, testing priorities, and next steps.
• Prepare and deliver bi-weekly performance reports at least 24 hours before scheduled client calls.
• Translate campaign and funnel performance data into clear recommendations and strategic decisions.
• Build strong client relationships that support retention, renewals, and referrals while proactively identifying account risks and opportunities.
• Build, launch, and optimize Meta advertising campaigns focused on lead generation and appointment booking.
• Manage campaign budgets, audiences, bid strategies, account structures, and creative testing.
• Monitor daily performance against cost-per-appointment and other key acquisition metrics.
• Diagnose underperforming campaigns and determine which changes are most likely to improve results.
• Develop structured testing strategies across audiences, offers, messaging, creative, and campaign variables.
• Write direct-response advertising copy and video sales letter scripts for financial services audiences.
• Develop hooks, angles, offers, and messaging variations and use performance data to generate new creative hypotheses.
• Collaborate with video editors and provide clear strategic direction for creative development.
• Use AI tools to accelerate research and copy development while maintaining quality and sound strategic judgment.
• Set up and troubleshoot tracking, Meta pixels, and conversion events.
• Configure Calendly integrations, Zapier automations, and lead-routing workflows.
• Identify and resolve technical issues between advertising platforms and client systems.
• Evaluate media, messaging, tracking, and lead flow together to identify and resolve funnel performance issues.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on paid media experience, including substantial responsibility for Meta advertising.
• Experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously and leading client-facing strategy conversations.
• Proven ability to manage campaigns against defined performance targets while contributing to client retention.
• Strong direct-response copywriting skills, including advertising copy and video sales letter scripts.
• Experience developing and testing creative concepts, hooks, angles, offers, and messaging.
• Experience with conversion tracking, Meta pixels, and basic marketing automation.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to take ownership of account performance, investigate issues, identify likely causes, develop strategies, and execute solutions independently.
• Comfortable working across media buying, client strategy, copywriting, creative development, and funnel performance.
• Ability to explain complex performance issues clearly and make data-driven decisions.
• Financial services marketing experience is preferred.
• Experience with lead-generation and appointment-setting campaigns is preferred.
• Experience with video sales letter marketing, high-ticket or considered-purchase funnels, performance marketing agencies, or direct-response advertising is preferred.
