Job Details

The Senior Learning Experience Designer for Emerging Tech & AI Fluency will design learnings that people want to go through. This team treats design as a craft and holds a high bar for quality. Most learning content is forgettable, and our aim is to produce work that isn't. This role is responsible for designing strong visuals and narratives for an Enterprise audience.

This is a senior individual contributor role. You'll own the visual design, the narrative, and the overall experience of AI-native courses and learning experiences from concept through finished product, and you'll help set the quality standard for the team's work.

Responsibilities

• Design courses and learning experiences end to end: the visual system, the narrative arc, and the experience of a learner moving through the material.

• Write and structure content so that it teaches clearly and reads well.
• Build the visual identity for courses in Figma, the Adobe suite, and video tools, and use generative AI image and video tools to produce work more quickly and at a higher standard.
• Prototype early and often, gather feedback, and refine.
• Partner with the technical lead through the build so that design intent carries through to the final product.
• Create compelling visual designs and multimedia content that communicate complex concepts in a clear, engaging, and audience-focused manner.
• Transform technical, data-heavy, or specialized content into intuitive learning experiences, communications, and storytelling assets.
• Develop creative deliverables across multiple formats, including digital graphics, presentations, videos, motion graphics, and interactive content.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into impactful visual and narrative solutions.
• Utilize Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and video production tools to design, produce, and refine high-quality creative assets.
• Integrate generative AI technologies into the creative development process to improve efficiency, enhance content quality, and explore innovative design solutions.
• Write and edit content that simplifies complex information and ensures clarity, consistency, and audience engagement.
• Maintain high standards of design excellence, applying sound judgment and providing rationale for creative decisions and recommendations.
• Contribute to concept development, visual storytelling, and creative strategy from ideation through final execution.
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities, evolving business needs, and ambiguous requirements while delivering quality work in a fast-paced environment.
• Continuously evaluate emerging design trends, tools, and AI-enabled capabilities to drive innovation and improve the user experience.

Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, educations, technology and design, social sciences, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
• 6+ years of experience in corporate accounting or controllership, close and reporting, and compliance, in professional services, or a related field required.
• Formal learning or instructional design experience preferred, but not required.
• Background in a creative field outside learning, such as editorial, film, product, brand, or games preferred, but not required.
• Experience explaining technical subjects to non-technical audiences.

Certifications

• Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD), Instructional Design, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, or equivalent certification preferred.

Skills and Knowledge

• Demonstrated ability to translate complex, technical, and highly regulated business content into engaging, learner-centered experiences and clear instructional materials.
• Expertise in visual communication, instructional storytelling, and information design, with the ability to create compelling learning assets that drive engagement and knowledge retention.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, learning experience design methodologies, and content development best practices.
• Experience designing multimedia learning solutions, including eLearning, video, presentations, infographics, job aids, and interactive digital content.
• Advanced proficiency with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, video production and editing tools, and presentation design software, including Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Experience incorporating generative AI technologies into content development, design workflows, and creative ideation while maintaining quality and accuracy standards.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and content simplification skills, with the ability to make technical, scientific, or operational topics accessible to diverse audiences.
• Ability to evaluate content quality, provide constructive recommendations, and apply sound judgment when making creative and instructional design decisions.
• Strong research and information-gathering skills with the ability to synthesize content from subject matter experts, documentation, and business stakeholders into effective learning solutions.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize competing deadlines, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to identify learning needs and recommend solutions.
• Effective facilitation, presentation, active listening, questioning, and feedback skills to support stakeholder engagement and content validation.
• Demonstrated commitment to customer experience and continuous improvement.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and exercise initiative with minimal supervision.

Salary Range*

$94,500 - 148,060

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
