Senior IT Application Analyst

Overview

As a Senior IT Application Analyst, you’ll help modernize and support the enterprise applications Community Transit employees rely on every day. You’ll play a key role in replacing our PeopleSoft Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Human Capital Management (HCM) systems, helping guide new solutions from implementation and integration through transition and ongoing support.

You’ll provide senior-level technical leadership across our enterprise application portfolio – solving complex problems, shaping technical solutions, coordinating integrations and enhancements, and ensuring applications are reliable, secure, and sustainable. You’ll partner across business departments, IT teams, project teams, and vendors to navigate dependencies, resolve issues, and successfully transition new and changing systems into operation.

We’re looking for an experienced application professional who brings strong technical judgment, problem-solving, and collaboration skills and is comfortable leading complex work across teams. You’ll also mentor other analysts, strengthen technical practices, and help build long-term application support capabilities. PeopleSoft and strong data management experience are especially valuable, particularly for candidates excited to apply that expertise while transitioning to modern, cloud-based ERP and HCM platforms.

Essential Duties

• Design, build, implement, maintain, and support complex infrastructures. Perform complex system audits and ensure systems are functioning as expected.
• Act as team, project, or technical lead. Provide technical instruction, training, mentorship, and review work of lower-level analysts on a broad array of systems or technologies. Deconstruct work into tasks and identify and assign appropriate resources. 
• Create complex reports, presentations, and documentation. Develop meeting agendas and lead meeting discussions. Capture and track actionable items to completion.
• Lead communications between internal and external customers and vendors in support of technology systems.
• Integrate new technology into the existing corporate technology ecosystem.  Prepare and maintain architecture and design configuration and ensure documentation is updated accordingly.
• Provide input into the development of policies and procedures to achieve client or organizational goals. Collect feedback and implement changes to improve the user experience.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• 9 years of experience working in Information Technology troubleshooting and diagnosing
• problems (a bachelor’s degree in a related field may substitute for 4 years of experience)
• 7 years of experience providing full system support for complex customer-facing technology
• 9 years of experience in administering applications, systems or networks
• 9 years of experience in an IT support role interfacing daily with end users
• 9 years of experience with supporting, repairing and/or troubleshooting devices, applications, or systems in specific area of job posting
• Ability to work outside of normal business hours to support critical systems and transit applications as required
• Must have a valid Washington State driver's license by hire date to operate a CT company vehicle, as needed

An equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the job duties is also accepted.

• Experience providing support to 7 x 24 production systems

Working Conditions

Hybrid telework may be available.  Work is performed in an office environment and requires the use of office equipment and technology.  You will be required to move throughout and between different office buildings and may need to complete tasks in noisy environments. You may also be required to lift and carry materials up to 10 pounds occasionally.
