The Opportunity

TELUS Digital is looking for a senior healthcare sales hunter to lead strategic new-logo growth across the U.S. healthcare market. This is a proven enterprise closer role, not a pipeline-builder role, someone who can originate, shape, and win large, complex healthcare pursuits by combining executive relationships, industry insight, and disciplined deal leadership into multi-year partnerships.

The ideal candidate understands the full healthcare continuum from digital front door and access through clinical interaction, pharmacy, claims, care management, and ongoing support and is equally credible discussing digital strategy with a Chief Digital Officer or clinical workflows with an operations executive.

Reporting to the Healthcare Vertical Leader, this executive is accountable for creating and closing transformational opportunities that expand TELUS Digital’s presence across CX, Digital, AI, and healthcare operations. The mandate: win large, strategic healthcare relationships, operating as a dealmaker and trusted industry advisor rather than a transactional seller.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic New Logo Acquisition

• Build an executive-level new-logo strategy across priority U.S. healthcare organizations

• Establish C-suite relationships before formal procurement processes begin

• Create opportunities through industry insight and proactive solution development

• Maintain a concentrated portfolio of high-value pursuits rather than high-volume pipeline

Large Deal Origination & Closing

• Personally lead strategic pursuits from the first executive conversation through signature

• Own the competitive strategy, executive narrative, solution architecture, pricing, and closing plan

• Build consensus across complex buying organizations, Operations, Technology, Digital, Clinical, Pharmacy, Finance, Procurement, Security, Compliance, and Executive Leadership

• Differentiate TELUS Digital beyond the traditional BPO buying process

Executive Relationship Development

• Build trusted relationships with C-suite and functional leaders across Clinical, Pharmacy, Operations, Technology, and Transformation

• Operate as an industry peer on strategy, economics, regulation, and technology, creating sponsorship that outlasts individual procurement cycles

Integrated CX + Digital Selling

• Position TELUS Digital as a healthcare transformation partner, bringing CX, Digital, AI, automation, analytics, and clinical capabilities together around a single client problem

• Build Digital and AI into opportunities at origination, not as a downstream cross-sell

• Partner with Digital Sales and Digital/AI SMEs as a unified pursuit team

Pursuit Leadership

• Serve as commercial leader for TELUS Digital’s most strategic healthcare pursuits

• Build and orchestrate cross-functional pursuit teams: Solution Architecture, Operations, Digital/AI, Clinical, Pricing, Legal, Compliance, and Executive Sponsorship

• Lead discovery, RFP responses, solution presentations, and negotiations, with relentless focus on competitive position and path to close

Competencies

• 10+ years of healthcare enterprise sales, outsourcing, technology services, consulting, or transformation experience

• Documented history of large enterprise wins, including multi-year agreements of $10M–$25M+ TCV

• Deep executive relationships within U.S. health plans, PBMs, providers, pharmacy, or healthcare services organizations

• Strong understanding of the healthcare continuum, from digital consumer access through clinical, pharmacy, claims, and care management

• Proven ability to sell complex combinations of BPO/CX, Digital, AI, and transformation services

• Experience shaping opportunities before an RFP is issued

• Strong financial and commercial acumen, pricing, margins, contracting, and negotiation

• Executive presence to engage confidently with C-suite healthcare leaders

• A proven closer: Someone who can speak concretely to deals they personally originated and closed; How they created executive access, shaped buying criteria, beat competitors, and expanded the relationship after signing.

• A healthcare strategist: Someone who understands the structural pressures healthcare organizations face. Rising cost of care, member experience and access, pharmacy cost, Medicare/Medicaid requirements, clinical workforce strain, and AI-driven transformation.

• An enterprise orchestrator: Large healthcare opportunities require multiple TELUS capabilities. The seller assembles the right internal resources while remaining accountable for the commercial outcome. Leading the pursuit, not just coordinating meetings.
