Docupace is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Developer for a remote role based in Philadelphia, PA.  Fully remote; however, candidates MUST already live within commuting distance of the Philadelphia Metropolitan Area (PA, NJ, DE) at the time of application.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer. We are unable to sponsor or transfer visas for this role.

Summary of Position:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer with strong SQL skills to join our team. Our product, ComplianceEdge, provides the wealth management space with a robust, secure compliance platform that meets regulatory and auditability requirements. It has an industry-leading rules engine and alert tuning to achieve low false-positive rates, deep investment in data normalization across custodians and feeds, and builds audit-grade traceability into workflows. ComplianceEdge isn’t generic compliance automation; it is a purpose-built RegTech platform for financial services.

The ideal candidate possesses a mastery of SQL (especially with large SQL codebases), experience working on server-side web platforms, the ability to communicate within and across teams, and a willingness to ask questions. Experience in or around finance would be helpful.

The team you will be working alongside is a cohesive group of experienced developers with a strong team dynamic. We are spread across the US, with most of the team around the Philadelphia, PA area. 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Design and Development

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications according to specifications and business requirements
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Translate business requirements and user stories into technical solutions 
• Build and optimize database objects such as stored procedures, tables, views and functions
• Design and contribute to database architecture and data pipelines
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks throughout the application (frontend, middle tier API, backend DB)
• Build and maintain full-stack features in our application
• Practical use of AI based coding assistants and agents

Code Quality and Testing

• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and debugging to ensure software reliability
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge across the team

Collaboration

• Work closely with architects, product team, designers, QA, and other developers to define and ship features
• Participate in agile ceremonies such as stand-ups and refinements. We are fully remote, so these ceremonies are an important touchpoint for us all

Documentation

• Create and maintain technical documentation for code, tools, and system architecture
• Document design decisions, workflows, and operational procedures

Security

• Follow secure coding practices and organizational security policies
• Ensure code and systems comply with relevant regulations and standards (FINRA, SEC) 
• Participate in security reviews and address identified vulnerabilities

Requirements

Skills and Experience:

Required

• 7+ years of software development experience
• SQL/T-SQL - Being able to think in SQL and navigate through many stored procedures and database objects will be critical
• JavaScript - We currently use Kendo UI
• Server-side web experience in any modern stack
• Git – We use GitLab
• AWS or comparable cloud hosting provider
• Cloud native application architectures (containers, auto-scaling, multiple concurrent instances (non-singleton)

Nice To Have

• Experience in the finance or wealth management industries
• SQL Server performance optimization experience
• Data pipelines and ELT (Extract, Load, Transform)
• DBA or Microsoft SQL Server certifications
