Senior Full Stack Developer

Senior Full Stack Developer Description & Duties:

The Senior Full Stack Developer is a highly skilled individual who excels in several areas of focus, including Front-End, Middleware, and Back-End areas of development. Senior Full Stack Developers are crucial in helping lead the efforts for developing and designing front-end web architectures, that are driven by the middleware created to retrieve information from one of the several back-end sources that provide the lifeblood of our business.

This role will excel in leadership of our evolving technology stack, which currently includes JavaScript, GraphQL, Jest, Kafka, MERN (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js), NestJS, Redis, SQL, and TypeScript, and demonstrate proficient skills in test-driven development, RESTful APIs, collaboration, communication, security best practices, and performance optimization. 

Pay Range

USD $100,000.00 - USD $125,000.00 /Yr.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities included the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Lead design and development of front-end web architectures driven by middleware to retrieve information from back-end sources.
• Lead development of software in our technology stack, which is constantly evolving but currently includes JavaScript, GraphQL, Jest, Kafka, MERN (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js), NestJS, Redis, SQL, and TypeScript.
• Help grow the development practice via coding, code reviewing, acting as a technical bridge on the team, as well as being able to dig into some of the more complex areas of the system when knowledge is lacking in house.
• Lead team in test-driven development and proper unit testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Maintain knowledge of security best practices in web development to safeguard customer and company data.
• Scour and evaluate new technologies and contribute to the overall product roadmaps of both internal and external 3^rd party systems.
• Design performance optimized and scalable web applications.
• Utilize agile methodologies and scrum planning tools like Jira to help the development team meet its sprint goal.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar relevant field.

• 5 years of experience in a development role OR combination of education and experience in front end, middleware, or backend development.

• Any technical certifications from Amazon, Atlassian, Google, Microsoft, or in an essential duty mentioned above are a plus.

• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software and Design software.
