The Senior Director of Revenue Cycle Assurance & Analytics provides enterprise-wide leadership and oversight of revenue integrity, payment accuracy, accounts receivable analytics, reimbursement assurance, and billing compliance activities. This role develops scalable controls to identify and prevent revenue leakage, improves reimbursement outcomes, oversees payment integrity functions, and supports financial reporting accuracy. The position collaborates closely with Accounting, Finance, Compliance, Managed Care, Information Technology, Clinical Operations, and executive leadership to ensure sustainable revenue cycle processes and strong financial performance across a growing multistate behavioral healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities: 

· Lead enterprise-wide revenue cycle assurance, billing integrity, and reimbursement optimization strategies across multiple states, service lines, and payer markets. 
· Develop and implement automated controls that identify revenue leakage, billing errors, payment variances, and compliance risks before they impact financial performance. 
· Direct programs for underpayment identification, recovery, and prevention while ensuring timely resolution of overpayments, credit balances, and reimbursement discrepancies. 
· Partner with Managed Care, Finance, Accounting, Compliance, Information Technology, and Operational leaders to improve reimbursement outcomes and resolve systemic payer issues. 
· Analyze reimbursement methodologies, payer contracts, fee schedules, and payment trends to ensure accurate reimbursement and revenue capture. 
· Oversee accounts receivable analytics, valuation reviews, reserve analysis, collectability assessments, and revenue performance reporting. 
· Monitor payment posting operations and establish enterprise standards for accurate posting, reconciliation, cash application, and remittance processing. 
· Lead initiatives that improve automation, scalability, and operational efficiency across revenue cycle functions. 
· Translate complex reimbursement regulations, payer requirements, and financial risks into actionable workflows, system requirements, and organizational strategies. 
· Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial activities through revenue analysis, reserve support, and audit collaboration. 
· Develop executive-level reporting that highlights reimbursement trends, revenue risks, financial opportunities, and operational performance metrics. 
· Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing leaders, analysts, and revenue cycle professionals while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. 

Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications: 

· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Analytics, or a related field required and a minimum of five (5) years of management experience. 
· Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline strongly preferred and a minimum of three (3) years of management experience. 
· Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in healthcare revenue cycle, reimbursement, patient financial services, revenue integrity, payment integrity, healthcare finance, or related functions. 
· Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience managing leaders, analysts, or complex multifunctional teams. 
· Demonstrated experience within large healthcare systems, national provider organizations, revenue cycle service organizations, or similarly complex healthcare enterprises. 
· Significant experience with multistate Medicaid reimbursement and behavioral healthcare reimbursement. 
· Experience leading payment integrity, underpayment recovery, payment variance, revenue assurance, or accounts receivable analytics programs. 
· Experience supporting net patient revenue analysis, reserve calculations, financial close processes, and external audit activities. 
· Experience overseeing payment posting, cash reconciliation, credit balance management, or related financial operations. 
· Demonstrated success designing and implementing automated revenue cycle controls and analytics solutions. 
· Experience with both facility and professional billing models strongly preferred. 

Additional Qualifications: 

· Strong knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies, payer contracts, revenue cycle operations, and financial reporting principles. 
· Ability to evaluate large data sets and translate findings into operational improvements and executive recommendations. 
· Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills. 
· Strong project management, process improvement, and change management capabilities. 
· Ability to explain complex financial, operational, reimbursement, and compliance matters to diverse audiences. 
· Skilled in developing scalable workflows, controls, analytics, and reporting solutions. 
· Ability to influence stakeholders across Accounting, Finance, Revenue Cycle, Compliance, Information Technology, Clinical Operations, and Managed Care functions. 
· Ability to travel as needed.
