Senior Director of FP&A / Treasury

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Director of FP&A / Treasury based in the United States.

This senior finance leadership role will build and lead the organization’s Financial Planning & Analysis, Treasury, and capital management capabilities.
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will create the financial operating framework that supports disciplined planning, capital allocation, and scalable growth.
You will connect commercial, operational, entity-level, and capital planning into a cohesive financial planning architecture.
The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
You will work closely with executive leadership, accounting, tax, operations, procurement, and technical teams across a complex multi-entity ecosystem.
This is an opportunity to build processes, systems, and reporting capabilities from the ground up while influencing critical business and liquidity decisions.

Accountabilities:

As Senior Director of FP&A / Treasury, you will establish scalable financial planning and treasury capabilities while serving as a strategic partner to executive leadership.

• Lead the development of an integrated financial planning and performance management framework, including monthly and quarterly rolling forecasts.
• Build driver-based forecasting models at both project and entity levels and consolidate them into comprehensive financial reporting.
• Develop an integrated planning infrastructure covering the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Partner with operating entities to establish standalone budgets and support a consistent quarterly business review process.
• Work closely with the CFO and Founder on actuals, budgets, forecasts, resource planning, liquidity, and other key financial decisions.
• Establish appropriate intercompany chargeback and centralized-service allocation methodologies in partnership with accounting and controllership teams.
• Develop KPI scorecards, management reporting, dashboards, and analytical tools that provide actionable insights to leadership.
• Design and document scalable FP&A processes, tools, controls, and best practices.
• Develop and execute the treasury strategy, ensuring sufficient liquidity while optimizing working capital, banking relationships, and capital deployment.
• Maintain and enhance a 14-week real-time cash flow model incorporating contractual and projected data for executive review.
• Support capital allocation decisions by assessing investment opportunities, funding requirements, expected returns, and strategic priorities.
• Develop foreign exchange risk management strategies and support international treasury activities.
• Establish intercompany funding strategies and manage domestic and international banking relationships.
• Oversee cash management infrastructure, treasury operations, and banking activities across the organization.
• Partner with Controllership, Tax, Procurement, and Operations to improve financial processes, controls, and business insights.
• Support ERP and financial planning technology implementations to strengthen reporting, forecasting, analytics, and scalability.
• Support M&A integration activities, including financial forecasting alignment and systems integration.
• Build financial infrastructure capable of supporting international expansion and increasing organizational complexity.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, accuracy, accountability, and scalability.
• Help build and mentor the future FP&A and Treasury organization as the business grows.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced finance leader with deep FP&A and Treasury expertise, strong strategic judgment, and a track record of building financial infrastructure in scaling organizations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
• MBA, CPA, CFA, or another relevant professional credential strongly preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in Treasury, FP&A, Corporate Finance, or related financial leadership roles.
• Experience working in complex, multi-entity organizations is strongly preferred.
• Experience in high-growth companies, startups, private equity environments, or organizations with complex entity structures is a strong plus.
• Demonstrated experience building finance processes, systems, and reporting capabilities in scaling businesses.
• Expert-level Excel skills and familiarity with financial planning, forecasting, and business intelligence platforms.
• Strong understanding of treasury operations, liquidity management, capital allocation, cash flow planning, and banking relationships.
• Strong understanding of intercompany accounting and internal cost allocation methodologies.
• Experience developing integrated financial models and translating financial data into actionable business insights.
• Experience implementing or enhancing financial systems and ERP or planning technologies is a plus.
• Strong leadership and people management capabilities, with the ability to build and mentor teams as the organization evolves.
• Ability to independently create systems and processes in environments where infrastructure is still being established.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, strategic, collaborative, and comfortable managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential financial and business information.
• Adaptable and comfortable operating in a rapidly changing, entrepreneurial environment.
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to provide and receive constructive feedback.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational execution.
