The Opportunity

Varonis is one of the most respected names in AI and data security, trusted by thousands of organizations worldwide to safely connect agents to their data.

We are hiring a Senior Director of Customer Marketing to lead the programs that turn Varonis customers into our most valuable growth engine. Reporting to the CMO, this leader will manage a team that owns regional customer events, advocacy and reference programs, and the executive experiences portfolio (EBC, CISO Summit, and CAB).

This is a customer-facing role: expect regular time onsite with customers and executives, real relationship-building, and the composure to adapt on the fly in high-stakes moments.

The Location

New York, Miami, or Remote. Travel is expected for events, executive briefings, and customer engagement.

What You’ll Do

Customer Events

• Own the strategy, calendar, and execution of Varonis regional customer events so every event drives expansion, retention, and advocacy at the same time.
• Design event formats that give customers real reasons to show up: peer content, hands-on workshops, and access to the people who build the product.
• Turn every event into content, social, and PR that reaches an audience many times larger than the room itself.

Advocacy & References

• Own the reference program end to end, so sales always knows which customer to call for which use case, and customers say yes because the program creates real value for them.
• Turn customer wins into case studies, videos, and quotes that PMM, sales, and demand gen reach for.

Executive Experiences

• Own the Executive Briefing Center program: who we host, why, and the deal acceleration we measure it against.
• Run the CISO Summit as the highest-signal room in the category. If a CISO chooses to spend time with us, they should leave with something they cannot get anywhere else.
• Manage the Customer Advisory Board as a working group that shapes the roadmap, not a rubber stamp for it.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership

• Lead the team spanning customer programs and executive experiences. Build the bench, raise the bar, and give them room to run.
• Partner tightly with sales, customer success, product marketing, and PR so every customer moment reinforces the account plan and the product story.
• Make AI native to how the team operates: reference matching, event follow-up, case study production, advocate identification.

Who You Are

• You are as comfortable running a 500-person conference as you are hosting 12 CISOs at dinner. You design different rooms for different outcomes, and you can execute both with taste.
• You run programs like a business. You have targets, forecasts, and dashboards. You know which references convert, which events drive pipeline, and how many days it takes for an EBC visit to influence a deal.
• You build trust across the whole GTM. Sales trusts you to protect their customer relationships. CS trusts you to make their customers heroes. Product trusts you not to over-promise on the roadmap

What You'll Bring

• 6+ years in customer marketing, advocacy, or events at B2B SaaS companies, with at least 3 leading teams.
• A track record at high-growth enterprise B2B SaaS, ideally in security, infrastructure, or a technical buyer category. You know how enterprise customers behave, how references really get sourced, and how CISOs decide to advocate for a vendor.
• Direct experience running both scaled customer programs (thousands of customers, a customer conference) and high-touch executive programs (EBC, CAB, executive dinners).
• Cybersecurity or data security domain experience is a plus, but not required. Curiosity and speed of learning matter more.
