Huron’s Healthcare Transformation Services (HDTx) team works with healthcare organizations to solve their most complex EHR challenges, so we are constantly searching for skilled technical consultants to help our clients maximize their technology investments. Our Senior Consultants come with a wide variety of experience leveraging their technical expertise to help our clients enhance their EHR platform to improve care delivery, patient outcomes and profitability.

As an Epic Patient Access Consultant, you will:  

• Support Epic Revenue Cycle workflow and system configuration optimization. 

• Complete and/or develop specifications for Epic build and testing activities. 

• Optimize Real-Time Eligibility (RTE), including query chaining, benefit filing, and plan mapping. 

• Support ASA table / Auto Status Assignment optimization for referrals. 

• Assist with registration, authorization, and front-end workflow enhancements and automation. 

• Optimize patient and referral workqueues and related Revenue Cycle processes. 

• Partner with client IT teams to support implementation and testing. 

Requirements 

• Epic Prelude certification required 

• Hands-on Epic RTE experience required 

• Experience with Epic Revenue Cycle workflows, configuration, and optimization. 

• Ability to work independently in a remote consulting environment. 

• Ability to travel up to 25% for project milestones. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Epic RTE certification 

• Epic Referrals certification 

• Epic Grand Central certification 

• Epic Cadence certification 

• Experience with registration automation, authorization rules, workqueue optimization, and default filing order automation. 

The estimated base hourly rate for Epic Senior Consultants varies based on experience, project engagement and client expectations. The actual rate paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This position is eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs.
