What you'll do:

The position will be responsible to perform a variety of closing management and oversight duties to ensure accuracy and due diligence of each loan processed in accordance with the approved loan packages and further complies with the bank’s internal policies. Post-Closing duties will include the coordination of any subsequent loan advances pursuant to loan documentation and approvals and assist with the maintenance of all loan files and proper loan servicing and monitoring requirements. 
Responsibilities include: 

• Review of approved Credit Memorandum to complete list of documentation required for loan closing
• Collection and review of all documentation to verify accuracy and compliance with Closing and Funding conditions in the Credit Memorandum
• Order appraisals, environmental reports, and credit reports in compliance with bank lending policies and procedures
• Ability to work closely with the Credit Associates, Relationship Managers, and third parties to build a complete credit and closing file to ensure efficiencies in the closing process 
• Oversees and manages all pre-closing due diligence documentation (i.e. appraisal/vessel surveys, property surveys, environmental reports, title searches, insurance coverage, UCC search, invoice accuracy, bill of sale, equity injection verification, verification of liquidity, etc.)
• Prepares and/or reviews all loan closing documents for accuracy, ensuring all loans comply with the bank approval and loan policy
• Engages and works closely with closing Attorney, referring Broker, and Loan Operations to facilitate a smooth closing and disbursement of loan proceeds
• Assists credit and compliance departments as needed in the servicing of the bank’s loan portfolio, to actively maintain lending files, clearing of loan exceptions, deficiencies, or loan review findings, if any. The collection and monitoring of the receipt of insurance policies, financial reports or other reporting documents as may be required in the loan approval and documents
• Adheres to policy & procedure of Grasshopper Bank and must comply with BSA/AML/OFAC regulations and guidelines. Ability to be self-directed, work independently, and with the Commercial Real Estate team, knowing when to engage assistance from senior management
• Assist in management of clearing outstanding loan documents, post-closing and/or loan exceptions items per each approved credit memo and Bank authorization 

What you need:

• Commercial Loan Closing Experience - 5+ years direct loan closing experience in a high-volume environment
• Strong collaborator with customers and co-workers. Focused on responding to customer inquiries with strong ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or a minimum of 5+ years of direct related commercial loan closing experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior Commercial Real Estate (owner occupied and non-owner occupied) closing experience is required
• Excellent customer communication skills
