Senior Claims Adjuster I, California
100% Remote | Work from Home
Join EMPLOYERS as a Senior Claims Adjuster I and manage complex California workers' compensation claims while making a meaningful impact for injured workers and policyholders.
Required: California Workers' Compensation claims adjusting experience and availability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST.
What You'll Do
- Manage moderate to high-exposure California workers' compensation claims from investigation through resolution
- Determine compensability, establish reserves, and administer medical and indemnity benefits
- Handle litigation, coordinate with defense counsel, and develop settlement strategies
- Proactively manage claim costs, medical treatment, and claim outcomes
- Deliver exceptional service to policyholders, injured workers, and business partners
- Mentor team members and serve as a claims resource when needed
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of workers' compensation claims experience, including complex claims
- Strong knowledge of California workers' compensation laws and regulations
- Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment
Preferred
- WCCP, AIC, ARM, CPCU, or similar designation
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $80,000 - $105,000
