Senior Analyst, US Strategy & Corporate Development

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Analyst, US Strategy & Corporate Development based in United States.

This is a high-impact corporate development role supporting major growth and capital allocation decisions across the U.S. market. You will help evaluate and execute acquisitions, strategic investments, and other corporate development opportunities from initial thesis through completion. The role combines transaction execution, financial modeling, commercial diligence, strategic analysis, and executive communication. You will work closely with senior strategy leadership and have direct exposure to executive stakeholders and Board-level decision-making. The position offers significant ownership in a fast-moving, remote-first environment, with the option to work from a Manhattan office. You will collaborate with internal leaders and external advisers to turn complex opportunities into clear, actionable recommendations.

Accountabilities:

• Lead the day-to-day execution of M&A and strategic investment activities, covering initial screening, business case development, diligence, valuation, structuring, documentation support, and transaction completion.
• Build and maintain a thesis-led pipeline of strategic opportunities through market mapping, target identification, preliminary valuation analysis, and disciplined assessment of whether opportunities warrant further investment.
• Develop and own detailed transaction and investment models, including DCF, IRR and returns analysis, accretion/dilution, and sum-of-the-parts valuations, while applying rigorous scenario and sensitivity analysis.
• Support transaction structuring and negotiation by analyzing key commercial terms, preparing supporting analysis, and collaborating with external advisers throughout drafting and mark-up processes.
• Lead commercial and financial diligence workstreams, including analysis of unit economics, credit and cohort performance, market sizing, competitive dynamics, operational considerations, and potential synergies, while managing data rooms and information requests.
• Prepare executive- and Board-level materials that translate complex financial and strategic analysis into clear recommendations, supporting senior leadership briefings and decision-making.
• Coordinate relationships with investment banks, law firms, accountants, consultants, and internal functional leaders to move strategic initiatives efficiently from concept through execution.

Requirements:

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related discipline, with an MBA and/or CFA considered an advantage.
• Bring 4–6 years of experience across investment banking, private equity, corporate development, transaction advisory, and/or top-tier strategy consulting, with hands-on involvement in M&A or investment transactions across the full deal cycle.
• Demonstrate advanced financial modeling and valuation skills, with strong attention to model quality, structure, accuracy, and analytical discipline.
• Have substantial commercial due diligence experience spanning market dynamics, competitive positioning, operational considerations, financial performance, and investment fundamentals.
• Demonstrate experience using AI tools to enhance M&A, transaction analysis, or due diligence workflows.
• Understand the requirements and sensitivities associated with listed-company transactions, including confidentiality, disclosure considerations, and disciplined transaction processes.
• Bring required financial services experience, with fintech, payments, consumer lending, BNPL, unsecured credit, or earned wage access experience strongly preferred.
• Combine strong analytical and strategic problem-solving abilities with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to produce executive- and Board-ready materials.
• Be highly organized and capable of managing multiple workstreams simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting demanding deadlines.
• Demonstrate a self-directed, action-oriented, and high-ownership approach, with the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-moving environment.
• Be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship or future immigration sponsorship support.
