Security/Door Person

Job DetailsJob Location: Wilmington, DE 19801Position Summary:

This shift  OVERNIGHT 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating days.

The security, door person is the face of the building. This candidate is responsible for providing amazing customer service to tenants, and visitors while ensuring the safety and security of the building. The ideal candidate for this role will be professional, and courteous, and must have genuine concern for the elderly and sensitive to their special needs.

Essential Functions:

Monitor foot traffic in and out of the building.
Calm demeanor in deciding whether an emergency is taking place and provide appropriate action.
Respond when an emergency is activated from residents.
Make emergency call to appropriate first responders when necessary.
Ensuring guests and visitors entering and leaving the building are following policies and procedures.
Monitor Security Cameras
Answer phone calls, greet tenants, and visitors.
Maintain a log of significant events that transpired throughout the shift.
Assist residents with package deliveries, groceries, etc., within the guidelines of the policies and procedures.
Other duties needed to help drive our vision, and fulfill our mission, of the “The poor should never be treated poorly”.

QualificationsEducation/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent Required.
Equivalent work experience a plus.

Skills and Knowledge:

Ability to show compassion and empathy while also being firm, fair and consistent in upholding the rules of the properties.
Ability to use plain, and simple language to communicate.
Strong verbal and written communication.
Works well under pressure.
Ongoing awareness of community resources.
Willingness to consent to and the ability to pass a criminal background check, and drug screening.
