Job Schedule: 16 hours/ weekends.

Job Description:

This is a routine security guard role requiring sound judgment and occasional improvisation to address isolated issues. Responsibilities include safeguarding classified information and ensuring the safety and well-being of employees and visitors on company property.

 Essential Functions:

• Perform all duties and assignments of a post until properly relieved.
• Monitor and respond to all emergency situations in the facility.
• Submit daily reports on the activity of their posts as well as incident reports, as required.
• Complete assigned rounds, reporting all employees who damage or misuse company property, or violate safety rules, regulations or other published policies.
• Report on improperly secured Closed and Restricted Areas.
• Control physical access to the facility, including: Physically check the ID of all personnel entering the facility and verify authorization for access; Maintain a written log of the time of arrival, time of departure, name, signature, purpose and destination of all visitors, and issue appropriate visitor badge; Administer the temporary badge system for current employees; Prevent any prohibited items from being brought into the facility; Operate and monitor the CCTV, facility card access, burglar, and fire alarm systems.

 Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 or more years’ experience as a security guard
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds
• Secret Clearance (preferred). 
• Valid Driver’s License

 Preferred Additional Skills:

• Ability to work independently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and rules for securing facilities and classified materials

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New Jersey is $22.44-$30.70. This is a weekend position. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
