Job Summary:

Under direct supervision, the security guard is maintains a safe and secure environment for our employees, visitors, and assets. The Security Guard will be tasked with patrolling the premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, and responding to security incidents.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Patrol and Surveillance:

Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure a visible security presence.
Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect and prevent unauthorized access or activities.
Report any suspicious behavior, incidents, or safety hazards promptly.
May intervene in any conflicts, verbal or physical

Emergency Response:

Respond to emergencies, including but not limited to, medical incidents, fire alarms, and security breaches.
Follow established protocols for emergency situations and provide assistance as needed.

Customer Service:

Provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and clients.
Assist with directions, information, and inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.

Report Writing:

Maintain detailed and accurate records of security-related activities, including incident reports and daily logs.
Submit reports to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.

Collaboration with Authorities:

Collaborate with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency services as necessary
Provide support and information during investigations

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to make quick and accurate decisions under pressure.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a security guard or relevant position.
Knowledge of basic security and safety procedures.
Excellent observation and communication skills.
Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
Basic computer skills for operating surveillance equipment.
Security Guard license/certification as required by local regulations.

Physical Requirements:

Physical fitness and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
This role involves working in various weather conditions and may require evening, weekend, or holiday shifts.
May also be required to stand or walk for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
