Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
In this role you will be:
- Managing the nursing department payroll.
- Managing telephone and written communication.
- Demonstrating excellent secretarial and problem solving and shorthand/speedwriting skills.
- Performing clerical functions relative to the operation of the nursing administration department.
- Coordinating day-to-day nurse staffing/scheduling as needed.
- Utilizing excellent interpersonal communication skills to communicate with patients, families, visitors, and the healthcare team.
- Utilizing modern office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, calculators, computers, and printers.
- Working in an abstract work environment and multitasking.
- Recording minutes of various committees and meetings.
- Working and maintaining composure during peak activity levels and effectively adjusting the work schedule during emergency/unusual situations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of a business secretarial school or experience
- EXPERIENCE:
- Payroll and kronos experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred
