No minimum education or previous experience is required!

Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sort between inferior or defective products and acceptable products place in proper bins for further processing
- Maintain clean workspace by following master sanitation schedule each day
- Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- None
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Follow directions from supervisor
- Ability to utilize Human Resource Information System (HRIS) software
PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking
- Various repetitive movements and good manual dexterity to perform required tasks
- Exposure to airborne particles or fumes
- Expected to remain alert and attentive
- Good eyesight to ensure that potatoes are being graded to the best of the employee’s ability
- Stairs will need to be climbed throughout the day to access the grading line
- Must wear safety glasses and hearing protection in designated areas
- Occasionally will need to lift up to 10 pounds
Alsum Farms & Produce is a vertically integrated family-owned farm, packing facility and logistics company providing quality produce. Alsum Farms grows 3,000 acres of Wisconsin Healthy Grown® Certified potatoes and has dedicated land to pollinator habitat and prairie restoration to cultivate a sustainably grown food supply along the lower Wisconsin River Valley in Arena and Spring Green and in the central sands in Adams and Grand Marsh, Wis. Founded in 1973, Alsum Farms & Produce, a second-generation family-owned-and-operated farm, involves Larry Alsum working alongside several family members including his two daughters. Alsum Farms grows russets, reds, golds and specialty potatoes in a sustainable, eco-friendly manner.
