Seasonal Customer Service Specialist — Join Us This Fall Season!

Looking for a seasonal role where you can contribute to your community, work with a dedicated team, and be part of the agriculture industry? Central Valley Ag is hiring a Seasonal Customer Service Specialist at our Bradshaw location to support our grain operations during the busy harvest season.

This is a seasonal position, typically running from October through the end of harvest (December at the latest).

Whether you’re familiar with agriculture or looking to gain hands-on experience, this role offers:

• Experience weighing trucks, grading, and testing grain
• Daily interaction with customers and local producers
• Opportunities to build skills in customer service, record keeping, and basic computer systems
• A harvest-focused schedule that generally includes Monday through Saturday, with partial-day Sunday hours as needed. Hours and days worked will depend on weather, harvest activity, and business needs, and overtime should be expected during peak periods.

At our Waco location, you’ll be part of a team that plays an essential role in supporting local agriculture and grain movement during a critical time of year.

What You’ll Do:

• Accurately weigh and grade inbound and outbound grain.
• Perform billing for agronomy products and services.
• Receive, enter, and reconcile accounts receivable; balance cash drawers and payable statements.
• Look up grain prices, provide cash bid quotes, and verify customer contracts.
• Record company transfers and assist with monthly inventories and variance reconciliation.
• Provide high-quality customer service via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
• Serve as a liaison between customers and management to support a positive customer experience.
• Analyze customer questions or complaints and help deliver practical, timely resolutions.
• Maintain organized filing systems and assist with internal and external mailings.
• Assist with general office upkeep and cleaning as needed.
• Develop and maintain working knowledge of CVA products, services, and credit policies.
• Uphold all Central Valley Ag policies with a strong focus on safety and ethics.
• Participate in safety training and actively promote a safe work environment.
• Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Strong customer service mindset with the ability to communicate professionally and clearly.
• Comfort with routine, detail-oriented work that requires consistency and follow-through.
• Fundamental accounting and math skills, including billing, cash handling, and reconciliations.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a structured environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills using logic and practical reasoning.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications and ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Team-oriented approach with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
