Walsh University is seeking qualified candidates to teach studio art courses in the General Education program at Walsh University. Courses may include – Drawing, Visual Order (2D Design), Watercolors, and Painting. Candidates may teach 2-3 classes per semester.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

On-campus teaching required (no online teaching)
Teaching courses in studio art
Working with ECN (our online class portal)

Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Must demonstrate an understanding the Walsh University Statement of Faith and a commitment to support the Mission, Vision, Values and Code of Ethical Conduct of Walsh University in accordance with Ex Corde Ecclesiae and the Catholic intellectual tradition and possess the following:

Education: Master’s Degree required with at least 18 hours in studio art. MFA preferred.

Work Experience: Demonstration of teaching experience preferred.

Skills and abilities:

Professional demeanor and ability to interact with charity towards students, staff and faculty.  Positive attitude a must.

Regular demands of in-person teaching – interacting with students, moving around room.

Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel in a professional and effective manner
