Salesforce Software Engineer II (Remote)

We are seeking a Software Engineer II to join our Salesforce Platform Engineering team. This role is ideal for a hands-on Salesforce developer who enjoys solving business problems through scalable technical solutions and wants to contribute across the full software delivery lifecycle. 

You will partner closely with Product Managers, Business Stakeholders, Architects, and fellow Engineers to design, build, test, deploy, and support enterprise Salesforce solutions that power critical business capabilities throughout Inspira Financial. 

The ideal candidate possesses strong Salesforce platform expertise, modern development practices, integration experience, and a passion for continuous improvement. This individual should be comfortable owning solutions from design through production support while helping drive engineering best practices across the team. 

This position reports to the Director of Application Development & Delivery. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable solutions on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and declarative capabilities. 
• Build and maintain secure, reliable integrations between Salesforce and internal/external enterprise systems using REST APIs, SOAP services, event-driven patterns, and middleware technologies. 
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, and Engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. 
• Contribute to the design and evolution of Salesforce architecture with a focus on scalability, maintainability, performance, and security. 
• Support Salesforce platform modernization initiatives including Lightning Experience enhancements, OmniStudio capabilities, and emerging Salesforce technologies. 
• Participate in code reviews, technical design reviews, and architectural discussions to promote engineering excellence and knowledge sharing. 
• Utilize Git-based source control and CI/CD tools such as Copado, Salesforce DX, and related DevOps technologies to support automated deployments and release management. 
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions. 
• Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and operational procedures. 
• Continuously evaluate new Salesforce platform capabilities and industry best practices to recommend improvements and innovation opportunities. 

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of Salesforce development experience in enterprise environments. 
• Experience developing custom solutions using:  
  • Apex 
  • Lightning Web Components (LWC) 
  • SOQL/SOSL 
  • Salesforce Flows 
  • Validation Rules 
  • Security & Sharing Models 
• Experience integrating Salesforce with third-party systems using REST and/or SOAP APIs. 
• Experience working in Agile software development environments. 
• Experience with Git-based source control and modern DevOps practices. 
• Strong understanding of Salesforce governor limits, platform performance considerations, and development best practices. 
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical problem-solving skills. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Ability to work independently and drive solutions with minimal supervision. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification. 
• Salesforce Platform Developer II Certification. 
• Salesforce Administrator Certification. 
• Experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud. 
• Experience with OmniStudio. 
• Experience with MuleSoft or other integration platforms. 
• Experience using Copado, Salesforce DX, Gearset, Jenkins, or similar DevOps tooling. 
• Experience supporting Service Cloud environments. 
• Experience with event-driven integrations and enterprise integration patterns. 
• Experience within financial services, fintech, retirement, wealth management, or regulated industries.
