Salesforce Data Architect

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Salesforce Data Architect based in United States.

This is a remote architecture role focused on designing, governing, and optimizing enterprise-grade data environments across Salesforce platforms. You will shape scalable data models and integration strategies that support reporting, automation, analytics, and AI readiness. The role spans data architecture, migration, integration, governance, quality, security, and lifecycle management across complex Salesforce ecosystems. You will collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Developers, and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. Your work will help strengthen data quality, platform performance, compliance, and long-term scalability. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to sophisticated Salesforce initiatives, including Data Cloud and Customer 360 programs.

Accountabilities:

• Design and own Salesforce data models across core clouds, including Sales, Service, Financial Services, and Consumer Goods.
• Define object models, relationships, field strategies, naming conventions, data lifecycle management, and governance standards while ensuring alignment with Salesforce best practices.
• Architect and oversee data migrations from legacy ERP, CRM, custom database, and other enterprise systems.
• Define strategies for data synchronization, deduplication, master data management, and data integrity across multi-system environments.
• Establish and enforce data quality frameworks covering validation, deduplication, enrichment, ownership, stewardship, and compliance.
• Support regulatory and security requirements involving personally identifiable information, GDPR, role-based access, and Salesforce data access controls.
• Design data structures optimized for Salesforce reporting, dashboards, analytics, and downstream business intelligence use cases.
• Enable data architectures that support Einstein, AI, advanced analytics, Data Cloud, and Customer 360 initiatives where applicable.
• Partner with Solution Architects, Developers, and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data and integration strategies.
• Ensure data architectures support scalability, performance, maintainability, security, and long-term platform health.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience working with Salesforce platforms, including 3+ years in a data-focused position such as Data Architect or Senior Data Specialist.
• Strong expertise in Salesforce object modeling, schema design, security models, data access controls, and governor limits.
• Proven experience developing and executing data migration strategies and working with tools supporting enterprise-scale, multi-system environments.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce integrations using REST and SOAP APIs.
• Experience with ETL and middleware technologies such as MuleSoft, Boomi, Talend, or Informatica.
• Advanced SQL and data analysis skills, with experience handling large data volumes.
• Knowledge of data modeling and architecture tools such as ERWin, Lucidchart, or similar platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across architecture, development, and client-facing teams.
• Salesforce certifications such as Data Architect, Integration Architect, Platform App Builder, or equivalent are preferred.
• Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud is preferred.
• Consulting or professional services experience is a plus.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with ERP platforms such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar systems is preferred.
• Exposure to AI, analytics, or advanced data initiatives within the Salesforce ecosystem is beneficial.
