Sales Engineer - U.S. & Mexico Territory

We are seeking a bilingual Sales Engineer to join our Team! This position may reside in the United States or Mexico. If based in the United States, this person will be required to frequently travel to Mexico for extended time.

About the Role:

Lead sales activities of existing business and new business within designated markets to meet planned company sales and profit growth consistent with our strategic initiatives. 

Travel:

•  50% throughout Mexico

Responsibilities:

• This role will have a significant focus on existing customers and new market development in the Motors and Transformers markets in Mexico and the US. 
• The person will reside in Mexico or the US border region with access to a major airport.
• Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical solutions
• Generate market penetration opportunities to ensure key decision makers are familiar with product offerings and increase exposure with end-users.
• Interpret specific customer requirements by collecting information and analyzing needs against technical product specifications.
• Provide pricing and related product information at point of sale.
• Attend national trade shows to promote brand recognition.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business or related fields
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical sales or sales engineering role 
• Strong commercial background with experience managing large OEM customers and experience negotiating LTA contracts. (preferred)
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable due to the Mexico territory coverage.
• Experience in wire and cable business (preferred) 
• Experience selling into Mexico and bilingual - English / Spanish (preferred)

• Capable of managing multiple projects and programs
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
