Sales Engineer

ALLPLAN enables architecture, engineering, and construction professionals to transform project delivery by connecting teams and data throughout the entire lifecycle. We are looking for a customer-focused Account Manager to strengthen and grow long-term relationships with our existing customers and/or future customers in public sector. You will be responsible for ensuring high customer satisfaction and growing revenue across both strategic and mid-sized accounts. Leveraging your relationship management skills, commercial acumen, and industry knowledge, you will act as a trusted advisor to help clients maximize the value of ALLPLAN’s BIM solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary technical resource throughout the sales cycle, conducting detailed discovery sessions to understand prospective clients' structural engineering workflows and business requirements.
• Deliver high-impact technical demonstrations and presentations of Nemetschek Engineering software to end users and decision-makers with a focus on business value and return on investment.
• Contribute to a library of product demonstration content accessible to prospects via an on-demand platform.
• Deliver post-sales professional services, including contributing to learning content published to Allplan's Learning Management System.
• Partner with the Product Management, Development, and Marketing teams to communicate market feedback, user requirements, and localized industry trends to influence the future product roadmap.
• Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and regional user groups to provide expert-level technical insights and strengthen brand authority within the AEC sector.

AI Capabilities / Skills Needed:

• Generative AI (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) for translating complex technical specifications into clear value propositions, drafting detailed RFP responses, and creating custom scripts for product demonstrations.
• AI-driven demo platforms for building interactive, persona-based product simulations and automating the deployment of tailored proof-of-concept (POC) environments.
• AI-enhanced CRM and PLM tools for tracking technical win-loss data, managing trial success metrics, and identifying patterns in feature requests to inform product development.
• AI productivity assistants for synthesizing discovery notes into technical requirement documents (TRDs), automating follow-up documentation, and tracking action items from technical audits.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or similar Associate's degree in Architectural Drafting, Computer-Aid Drafting, or similar. Comparable professional certification may be accepted in lieu of higher education degree.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the Architectural, Engineering, Construction (AEC) industry.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Building Information Modeling (BIM) project delivery.
• Preferred: Minimum 5 years of processional experience in steel detailing and fabrication.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in sales engineering or similar roles.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching or implementing new software.
• Customer-centric mindset with a strong ability to bridge the gap between complex engineering requirements and practical business applications.
• Advanced technical aptitude with the ability to conduct deep-dive product demonstrations and lead technical discovery sessions that address specific client pain points.
• Solution-oriented approach focused on building credibility with technical evaluators while supporting the broader sales cycle to achieve regional revenue targets.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of delivering persuasive technical content to both engineering teams and non-technical decision-makers.
• Collaborative attitude with a commitment to partnering closely with Account Executives and Product Development teams to ensure seamless solution delivery.
• Analytical problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting technical barriers and customizing workflows to meet diverse project needs.
• High degree of self-motivation and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent evaluations in a fast-paced environment.
• Full professional fluency in English.
