Sales Director – US Law Enforcement

Overview

This is a senior, quota-carrying closing role for an experienced public sector dealmaker ready to take the next step in their career, with real scope to help shape and build out the team as we scale and influence over how the go-to-market strategy develops.

The Sales Director, US at Asset Reality owns the full sales cycle with law enforcement agencies, from qualified pipeline to closing multi-year government contracts for both State & Local, and Federal. For someone who thrives on closing complex, high-value deals, ownership, and purpose-driven selling, this is a rare opportunity to do meaningful work at scale.

The Role

We are expanding our US presence to keep up with the market demand. You will work with our small existing team in the US to grow our market share and with it our footprint in the territory.

We already have an established client base and pipeline in the US. Your focus will be on growing and closing the pipeline in addition to playing a pivotal role in helping devise US growth strategy including further hires.

Your job is to build relationships of trust to get to the heart of the challenges law enforcement face when it comes to seizing assets, from boats to bitcoin. You will be passionate about understanding their problem, identifying a champion and getting the attention of the economic buyer. You are comfortable owning the whole sales lifecycle, from identifying opportunities, to qualifying pipeline handed to you, to leading product demos, negotiating commercial terms and closing contracting.

This is a role for someone who has significant experience running B2G sales and managing complex multi-stakeholder processes to drive sales cycles proactively. Speed of conversion is critical to landing market share. Law enforcement agencies have an urgent need for our solutions, but they rarely move fast, and decisions seldom sit with one person. Your role is to navigate this while keeping commercial momentum.

What you’ll be doing

• Learning everything about Asset Reality, our solutions, our clients and the problems we can help them solve, and how we do it better than any other combination of solutions

• Presenting a capture plan for the Target Market clients outlined by the CRO

• Building relationships within accounts transferred to you, and through identification of new prospects, to qualify pipeline early by uncovering procurement process hurdles, key personas, as well as budgetary availability

• Running deep discovery: understanding how the agency currently works, the real problem, their current risks and full scope of impact of our solutions

• Objection handling, commercial negotiations, proposal presentation and contracting with support from a US solutions architect in addition to our sales enablement team

• Supporting a smooth handover to the customer success team once a deal closes

• Disciplined deal management, closing deals effectively, driving sales momentum, and accurate pipeline and KPI reporting

• Partnering with leadership on hiring and mentoring as we build out the US team and driving strategy in the region

• You lead deal progression with little daily input or oversight while pulling in team members where needed to remove hurdles early

• You present new territory level enhancements for consideration, including external partners or resourcing requirements

• You close deals to meet and exceed your quota

• You are a team player and support other functions or on other opportunities where needed, leaning into our “Stronger Together” value

Experience

• 7+ years of experience closing complex, multi-year government or enterprise software contracts, and delivering on quotas above $1m

• Good understanding of sales methodologies; you are deeply experienced in qualification, discovery, objection handling, differentiation, and positioning

• Proven track record of closing government software contracts

• Bonus points for:

• • Experience managing or growing a high-performing sales team 

• • Spanish language skills (but this is not a requirement)

 This probably isn’t for you if… 

• You’re uncomfortable navigating to senior decision-makers or having commercial conversations at that level

• You prefer top-of-funnel work over running deals all the way to close

• You rely heavily on others to sell effectively or are easily overwhelmed by the pace of a startup

Compensation & Location 

• Base salary range and total compensation indication can be provided following the first call if your resume is selected for further interview. We prefer to tailor to experience, while respecting your time. 

• Preference for Washington, DC area (remote to start) 

• Open to strong candidates willing to work East Coast Time Zone hours

• Some travel required for client meetings, conferences, and events
