Sales Director - National Retail

Position Summary

We are seeking a results-driven National Retail Sales Director with strong experience in cellphone accessories, consumer electronics, mobile technology, or related industries to lead and grow our national retail business.

This individual will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, managing key retail relationships, driving revenue and profitability, and identifying opportunities to expand our brands and product portfolio across major retail channels.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and hands-on sales leader with a proven track record of building relationships with major national retailers. Prior experience working with Walmart, Best Buy, and/or Target is highly desirable.

Alphacomm custom designs, manufactures and distributes wireless accessories to over 18,000 points of distribution, primarily in the Prepaid wireless market in North America. Alphacomm leads the wireless industry in the number of carrier brands managed and is the first to market carrier-licensed accessory portfolios for over fifty devices launched annually. In-house brands, Quikcell and BosBos, are leading brands designed and manufactured by Alphacomm for the Prepaid channel.

Responsibilities

·        Develop and execute annual and long-term sales strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and market-share objectives.

·        Own and grow relationships with key national retail accounts, including Walmart, Best Buy, Target, Costco, and other strategic retailers.

·        Serve as the primary sales leader and relationship manager for assigned national retail accounts.

·        Develop strong relationships with buyers, category managers, merchants, and senior retail leadership.

·        Identify opportunities to expand distribution, increase SKU placement, improve assortment, and grow sales within existing accounts.

·        Lead product line reviews, line reviews, new product introductions, seasonal programs, promotions, and retail resets.

·        Develop compelling customer presentations and business proposals based on retailer needs, category trends, competitive activity, and sales performance.

·        Analyze POS, inventory, sell-through, forecasts, and other account-level data to identify opportunities and develop corrective action plans.

·        Partner closely with Marketing, Product Development, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure successful execution of customer programs.

·        Develop and manage sales forecasts, budgets, promotional plans, and account-specific business plans.

·        Negotiate pricing, promotions, terms, assortment, placement, and other commercial opportunities while protecting company profitability.

·        Monitor competitive activity, market trends, consumer behavior, and changes in the retail landscape to identify risks and opportunities.

·        Develop strategies to improve retail sell-through and in-store performance.

·        Manage customer-specific sales targets and hold internal teams accountable for achieving objectives.

·        Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key customers and strategic partners.

·        Travel regularly to customer meetings, headquarters, trade shows, line reviews, and other business meetings as required.

·        5+ years of progressive sales experience, preferably within cellphone accessories, consumer electronics, mobile technology, consumer products, or a related industry.

·        Proven track record of delivering revenue growth through national retail accounts.

·        Demonstrated experience managing major retailers such as Walmart, Best Buy, Target, or similar national accounts.

·        Existing relationships with retail buyers and merchants are highly preferred.

·        Strong understanding of retail sales, merchandising, category management, POS analytics, and inventory management.

·        Experience negotiating pricing, promotions, distribution, and annual business plans.

·        Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate sales and POS data into actionable strategies.

·        Excellent presentation, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

·        Ability to build relationships at all levels, from retail buyers to executive leadership.

·        Strong business acumen and understanding of retail P&L drivers.

·        Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
