Sales Director

Position Summary:

The Sales Director will be instrumental in the continued expansion of Apprenti’s nationwide sales activities and will drive growth and revenue generation while overseeing the selling of Apprenti’s core talent and business services. The director executes the sales strategy, leads the regional sales team, builds structured sales processes, and collaborates with internal and external partners to expand corporate hiring partnerships and achieve targeted outcomes. 

By building, mentoring, and scaling a high-performing sales team, the Sales Director establishes a structured sales process and robust pipeline management framework to optimize performance and accountability. 

Job Responsibilities

• Executes comprehensive revenue strategies aligned with Apprenti’s mission, annual budget, and long-term growth goals.
• Tracks sales metrics, monitors pipeline health, and provides regular financial forecasts to leadership.
• Responsible for hiring, training, and overseeing regional and local sales managers and staff, including the management of individual performance, various schedules and territories.
• Creates and implements long-term, organizational sales strategies to achieve targeted growth, revenue, and expansion goals.
• Leads and mentors the sales team, ensuring a high-performing sales culture and structured sales process.
• Generates and maintains a robust sales funnel.
• Oversees key relationships, strategic partnerships, and enterprise account growth nationally with attention to local market opportunities.
• Manage operating budgets, sales forecasting, and sales activity tracking within Salesforce CRM.
• Prepares sales budget; monitors and approves expenses.  
• Performs other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

• 10+ years of sales experience, including at least 5 years in a senior sales management or leadership role, driving revenue growth across enterprise accounts.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail across executive and cross-functional audiences.
• Proven track record in Consultative Sales, Customer Relationship Management, and High-Stakes Negotiation.
• Strong team leadership and supervisory capabilities, with a focus on talent development and performance management.
• Superior organizational skills, strategic planning, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and enterprise CRM systems (with preferred experience utilizing Salesforce).

• Proven track record of managing, mentoring, and scaling high-performing sales teams, with expertise in strategic territory planning, talent development, and performance optimization.
• Demonstrated integrity, credibility, and a deep commitment to advancing a mission driven organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field required (or equivalent relative experience) 
• Experience selling to federal or state governments and/or government contractors is a plus. 

What We Offer

The target base salary for this role ranges from $120,000 to $140,000. Placement within this range is determined by the candidate's qualifications, skills and relevant experience. In addition, this role’s  compensation includes variable commissions for target achievement.

Physical Duties & Work Environment

• Operates remotely within a predominantly digital workspace.
• Capable of remaining seated or standing at a workstation for prolonged durations.
• Proficient in utilizing both macOS or Windows OS operating environments across diverse organizational software platforms.
• Available to conduct regular phone and video meetings with internal and external partners.
• Occasional travel up to 10% may be requested for major functions and onsite team gatherings, though not mandatory.
