Responsibilities
HazTek is hiring a Safety Specialist in Irving, TX to support a remodeling project consisting of demolition and HVACs installation. If you’re passionate about making an impact, driving compliance, and building a proactive safety culture, we want you on our team!
- Oversee all aspects of the project ensuring OSHA compliance
- Review and approve contractor Safety Plans and ensure alignment with project and site EHS requirements
- Deliver pre-construction safety workshops and establish clear safety expectations with contractors and the project team
- Conduct and coordinate EHS audits, inspections, and joint safety walkdowns
- Review heavy-lift plans, particularly activities with potential impacts to ongoing operations

Facilitate the pre-start-up safety review (PSSR) by area/process/equipment
- Participate in project closeout reviews and provide the E&PS or applicable functional/construction safety leadership with insights regarding project safety performance
- Ensure all personnel wear their personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Daily safety audits and inspections
- Inspect power tools and heavy equipment
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of construction safety experience required
- OSHA 30 in Construction and First Aid/CPR required
- Prior experience with small and large scale demolition required
- Strong knowledge of construction safety standards
- Must have experience in Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and Excavation
- Excellent verbal and written skills

$90,000 - $115,000
