We’re seeking a Safety Specialist to support the implementation and continuous improvement of the site's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) programs within a manufacturing environment. This position works closely with operations, supervisors, and employees to promote a safe workplace, identify hazards, support compliance initiatives, and foster a proactive safety culture.
The ideal candidate is a motivated and detail-oriented safety professional with strong communication skills, a passion for employee engagement, and a desire to grow their knowledge and experience in occupational health and safety.
The is a United States based role situated in Lebanon, TN and is not a remote or hybrid position.

Qualifications: Essential Job Functions
HSE Program Support
Support implementation of site HSE policies, procedures, and initiatives.
Assist with maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations.
Participate in the development and continuous improvement of safety programs and procedures.
Safety Inspections & Hazard Identification
Conduct routine safety inspections, observations, and workplace assessments.
Identify unsafe conditions, behaviors, and hazards.
Partner with operations to implement corrective actions.
Participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA), risk assessments, and hazard mitigation activities.
Safety Culture & Engagement
Promote proactive reporting of near misses, hazards, and safety concerns.
Encourage employee participation in safety initiatives, observations, and meetings.
Reinforce compliance with Life Saving Commitments, site procedures, and PPE requirements.
Maintain a regular presence on the production floor to coach and support employees.
Build strong working relationships with employees and supervisors.
Training & Development
Support new hire safety orientation and onboarding.
Assist in delivering safety training sessions and toolbox talks.
Incident Investigation & Reporting
Assist with investigations of incidents, injuries, near misses, and property damage.
Collect data, conduct interviews, and document findings.
Support root cause analysis and development of corrective actions.
Maintain accurate incident records and documentation.
Education
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Certifications
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (strongly preferred).
First Aid / CPR certification required.
Experience
Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in a safety-related role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Experience participating in incident investigations, audits, or safety committees.
Occupational health experience preferred but not required.
Experience with pipe manufacturing or metal fabrication processes is a plus.

Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and applicable safety regulations.
Familiarity with industrial safety practices and procedures.

Technical Skills

Industrial manufacturing and pipe fabrication facility.
Regular presence on the production floor supporting inspection activities and quality oversight.
Exposure to welding operations, fabrication equipment, moving machinery, noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, steel-toed boots, gloves, and hearing protection while in production areas.
Occasional overtime may be required to support audits, inspections, or production schedules.
Occasional travel may be required for training or audits
