Safety Coordinator

Compensation & Schedule

💰 Pay Rate: $56/hr
⏱️ Overtime: Yes
🏨 Per Diem: Locals Only
🎯 Completion Bonus: $150/month
💵 Pay Frequency: Weekly
⏰ Schedule: Monday-Friday/Saturday as Needed | First Shift | 50-60 Hours Per Week
📈 Additional Schedule Details: Anticipated start during the week of September 7 or September 14. Interviews are being scheduled immediately.

Required Qualifications

✔ OSHA 500 and/or OSHA 510 Certification
✔ Current CPR/First Aid Certification
✔ Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience
✔ Experience supporting civil construction projects
✔ Experience with excavation, trenching, and utility installation activities

Preferred Qualifications

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide daily field safety oversight for civil construction activities
• Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
• Monitor excavation, trenching, utility installation, and demolition operations
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions
• Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel
• Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation
• Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
