Compensation & Schedule

💰 Pay Rate: $60/hr (Local) | $50/hr (Non-Local with Per Diem)
🏨 Per Diem: $100/Day (7 Days Per Week)
🎯 Completion Bonus: $150/month
💵 Pay Frequency: Weekly
⏰ Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM | 40-50 Hours Per Week
📈 Additional Schedule Details: Possible Saturday work based on project and schedule requirements.

Join a contractor supporting the AEP Tower renovation project in Columbus, OH. Project scope includes commercial building renovation, multi-trade construction activities, interior renovations, MEP work, and ongoing facility improvements.

The Construction Safety Manager will oversee day-to-day project safety operations, manage multiple trades, review AHAs and JHAs, support stretch-and-flex programs, maintain safety documentation, and provide overall site safety leadership throughout the project.

Required Qualifications

✔ BCSP Credential (CHST, ASP, CSP, OHST, STSC, or Equivalent) and/or 4-Year Degree in Health & Safety
✔ Minimum 5+ Years of Construction Safety Experience
✔ Experience Managing Safety on Multi-Trade Construction Projects
✔ Experience Reviewing and Managing AHAs and JHAs

Preferred Qualifications

⭐ Commercial Building Renovation Experience
⭐ High-Rise or Occupied Building Construction Experience
⭐ General Contractor Safety Experience
⭐ Contractor Safety Management Experience
⭐ OSHA 500 Certification

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide daily field safety oversight for all project activities
• Manage safety performance across multiple trades and subcontractors
• Review and oversee Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
• Lead and support daily stretch-and-flex activities
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions
• Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel
• Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation
• Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
