We are currently seeking a motivated File Clerk/Runner to join our team in Houston, supporting our File team. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Run local errands for firm partners and managers
• Read, scan, document, and distribute/route high volume incoming correspondence
• Retrieve, organize, and file client documents and files
• Maintain document files using case management software
• Frequently assist in the movement of boxes or furniture weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Monitor inventories in supply room and kitchen, and conference room set-up and maintenance
• Assist with special projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs

POSITION TYPE:

• This is a contracted position (90 days) subject to permanent hire based in Houston.
• Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications.

• Excellent oral communication, writing, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently, effectively, and efficiently without significant supervision
• Ability to prioritize and complete numerous and complex assignments on time

• Willing to work extended hours as needed to accommodate caseload demands.
• Familiar with Office 365 suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel, and ability to learn contemporary technology in law practice
