The Friendly Toast, is a unique all-day brunch and bar restaurant, we are looking for an enthusiastic Runner and Busser to join our team. Our restaurant is known for its scratch-made menu, passion for people and community, and welcoming atmosphere. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist servers in delivering food to guests in a timely and accurate manner.
• Clear tables and ensure that they are clean and ready for the next guest.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including floors, chairs, and table settings.
• Work collaboratively with all team members to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
• A passion for food and customer service

Requirements

Bussers:

• Prepares dining room for patrons by cleaning; setting decorations, condiments, napkins, service plates, and utensils.
• Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation and safety policies.
• Maintains menu presentation by keeping menus clean in good condition
• Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
• Supports wait staff by setting-up and replenishing condiment stands, trash containers liners, and bus stations.
• Closes dining facility by cleaning chairs and tables; sweeping and/or vacuuming floors; removing trash and recyclables from the facility.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities.

Runners:

• Highly skilled in providing food to the guests in an efficient and accurate manner
• Known for anticipating guests’ needs and deal with them accordingly.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills
• Proven record of handling stress in a fast-paced work environment
• Demonstrated ability to multi task
• Transfer food items to and from kitchen

Working Conditions

• Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 45 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion.
• Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment as well as operating phones, computers, printers, and other office equipment.
