Room Service Server Part Time

Job Details: Job Location: The Jefferson Hotel - RICHMOND, VA, Position Type: Part Time, Salary Range: $3.50 - $5.50, Job Shift: Any, The Jefferson Hotel, a celebrated luxury property in Richmond, VA, is seeking professional and service-driven Seasonal Room Service Attendants to join our In-Room Dining team for the holiday season. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service to guest rooms, as well as serving our traditional afternoon tea service on the mezzanine on Fridays and Saturdays. Candidates must exhibit a polished presentation, excellent communication skills, and a sharp eye for detail.

This position offers part-time opportunities, with AM shifts available from 6 am – 2 pm and PM shifts varying between 2 pm – 1 am. Scheduling is based on business needs and candidate availability.

Key Requirements

Availability: Must be available to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
Presentation: Must maintain a professional, polished appearance at all times.
Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and a guest-focused approach required.
Detail-Oriented: Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Ensure proper setup and presentation of trays, carts, and in-room dining amenities.
Accurately communicate guest orders to the kitchen and confirm special requests.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the room service area and pantries.
Retrieve trays and carts from guest rooms in a timely manner.
Respond to guest inquiries and requests with courtesy and efficiency.
Handle guest feedback or concerns professionally, escalating when necessary.
Assist with the execution and service of The Jefferson Hotel’s traditional tea service on the mezzanine.
Uphold The Jefferson Hotel’s service standards at all times.

Qualifications

Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver trays and carts with food and beverage items.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Able to deliver food and beverage orders to guest rooms promptly and professionally.
Professional demeanor, reliability, and strong teamwork skills required.
