Rock Wall Desk Attendant (part-time)

About the role

Harvard Recreation, managed by HealthFitness, is looking for an enthusiastic Rock Wall Front Desk Attendant to join the team on the Harvard University campus in Cambridge, MA.

If you enjoy creating welcoming experiences and supporting an active community, this is a great opportunity to be part of one of campus recreation's most exciting spaces. As a Rock Wall Front Desk Attendant, you'll serve as the first point of contact for climbers and guests, providing exceptional customer service and helping ensure a safe, organized, and enjoyable experience at Harvard's bouldering wall within the Quadrangle Recreational Athletic Facility.

Schedule:

• Part-time, approximately 5 hours per week

Greet, check-in and assist customers. Provide program information, services, membership and ensure the highest possible level of customer service and participant satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Providing medical emergency response when needed, included First Aid and CPR.

• Ensuring members swipe via Fusion and have an active membership.

• Get wall participants the correct wall gear for safe climbing.

• Maintain and clean the rock wall space and equipment to ensure a welcoming environment for the Harvard Rec members.

• Enforcement of Harvard Recreation rules & policies, and Harvard Recreation Rock Wall rules & policies.

• Other duties as-needed/assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: 

• High School diploma/GED.

• First Aid and CPR/AED certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute. **NOTE: We can provide opportunity to obtain certification through Harvard Recreation if needed.

• Ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems.

The compensation for this role is $15.00 per hour. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.  We understand that compensation is an important factor when considering a new opportunity, and we strive to provide a competitive wage within the market.
