UW MEDICINE-NORTHWEST OUTPATIENT SURGERY CENTER has an outstanding opportunity for a per diem OR day shift REGISTERED NURSE.

WORK SCHEDULE

·        variable hours per week

·        Day Shifts

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
The Registered Nurse is a licensed practitioner who uses the nursing process to provide patient care.  This includes exercising independent nursing judgment in managing the care of patients with complex health problem(s) and collaborating with patient, family and other healthcare providers/disciplines to optimize the patient’s return to health and promote independence in self-care. Supervises and coordinates the work of ancillary healthcare personnel.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Develops a written plan of care

·        Provides safe, therapeutic, cost-effective patient care

·        Provides direct patient care to an assigned group of patients

·        Collects, records, and analyzes assessment data such as patient health data

REQUIREMENTS
One year of recent OR nursing experience
ACLS and PALS required

Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$46.97 hourly

Pay Range Maximum:

$86.17 hourly

Other Compensation:

$5.00/hour night shift
$4.00/hour weekend shift
$3.00/hour evening shift
$1.00/hour BSN Premium
$1.25/hour Nursing Certification
