RN-House Administrator

As an employee of Trinity Health System, it is the responsibility of this and all positions within the Hospital to support the mission and role of Trinity Health System. In addition, this position will actively support the Hospital's Strategic Plan in the areas of People, Service, Quality, Finance and Growth, in a team based environment. The employee also performs all job duties in compliance with laws and regulation in the observance of accrediting agency standards. The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for supervising activities of all Nursing personnel on Patient Care Units/areas. Ensures provision of Nursing/Hospital services through adherence to JCAH and other regulatory standards. Assumes administrative responsibility for Hospital during absence of President/designee. Consults with and advises patient care staff, Clinical Managers, Nurse Directors and Departmental Managers on problems and issues related to their patient care units/areas and reports operational issues to Nursing Directorsand Vice President of Nursing.

Responsibilities:
 

• Supervises and coordinates activities of nursing personnel engaged in direct patient care.
• Analyzes nursing and ancillary services to improve delivery of patient care and to obtain maximum utilization of staff.
• Arranges for emergency operations and reallocates personnel during emergencies.
• Participates with Nursing Directors and the Vice President of Nursing in development and implementation of the philosophy and objectives of the Nursing Department.
• Serves as a resource to staff, interpreting philosophy, goals, standards, policies and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Current Ohio License.
• BSN preferred or plan for completion.
• Three (3) years clinical practice.
• Demonstrated competence in management and progressive leadership skills.

  Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
   

• BLS provider or obtain within 3 months of hire.
   
• Registered Nurse (RN)*

*Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
