Job Description
Responsibilities:
A Registered Nurse (RN) renders personal and professional care for patients. Uses a systematic approach to assess patient’s needs, plan care, provide quality/direct care, coordination of care and evaluate care in an efficient, safe environment. The RN facilitates collaboration amongst a variety of disciplines in order to provide a unified and seamless approach to care delivery. This position is responsible for adhering to all standards of nursing practice, for promoting teamwork with physicians and personnel of other departments. Patient advocacy, patient safety, and improving health status are priorities when the RN develops the plan of care.
Qualifications: Currently licensed in the State of Ohio as an RN. BLS, NRP, PALS, ACLS and CPI certifications currently held or must be obtained. Prior-nursing experience preferred.

Located in Napoleon, Ohio; Henry County Hospital is a non-profit rural facility providing a full range of inpatient and outpatient healthcare services. The hospital opened its doors in 1982 in a 64,000 square foot facility with 52 beds. When the facility was constructed in 1982; it was designed to provide care based on the inpatient model of healthcare. This was prudent at the time because more than seventy percent of care was delivered in that manner. In 2011, seventy-five percent of the patients are seen on an outpatient basis and in many cases patients are in and out of the hospital in a matter of hours. Since the opening, the hospital has outgrown its space and is now a 100,000 square foot Critical Access Hospital with 25 beds.
