RN-Clinical Care - 12 Hour, Med/Surg (FT, Days) Monterey Park Hospital

Overview

Monterey Park Hospital, a 101-acute care facility located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Med/Surg Unit. This is a full-time, 12-hour day shift position reporting to the Director of Med/Surg.

Responsibilities

The Med/Surg RN provides care, treatment, counseling, and health education to the hospitalized patient. The RN is responsible for planning and coordinating care from admission through post-discharge.  This planning and coordination includes meeting and exceeding compliance with core measures, contributing to a reduction in LOS, active participation with all aspects of quality, safety, and performance improvement activities, collaboration with all the members of the multidisciplinary team in providing outstanding customer service to patients, family members, physicians, and the public. Meets and exceeds CDPH, The Joint Commission (TJC), and other regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program. BSN preferred.
• One year of acute care experience is preferred.
• Current CA RN license required. 
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Proficiency in both written and oral English.
